" I would think" was a polite way of saying soaking your bolt carrier and charging handle in a bag of oil is just about the most stupid thing i have ever heard of

Think what you may, but I know it works. And where I come from, “It ain’t stupid if it works.”

You do what works for you, I’ll do what works for me. I don’t talk shiit on your methods, don’t single me out for mine.

In short: Get bent.

To tert, whatever - For what it's worth - before the very last build I did, when trying out a new lube - I wouldn't put the BCG in a bag.  I put it in a tupperware dish and covered it on the oil, the night before.  The morning of,I pulled it, and hung it on a hanger, and let the excess drip off.  Then I installed it and shot the damn gun.  Perfect, every time.

"A few drops of oil on contact surfaces" isn't gonna get it on this platform,  Not at all.  You'll be back here, bitching about double feeds, bolt-over rides, and all kinda of crazy shiit (because you don't know how to properly describe your malfunction), and blaming it on all kinds of stuff...

When the answer was simple.  MORE LUBE.
