JohnDavid
I would like to change the stock two piece handguard to a an inexpensive free float. I was thinking of this one and the low profile gas block and was wondering what your thoughts are? Standard Length Free Float Tube Part Number: F410925 Email a DPMS Micro .750 Gas Block Part Number: 60699 Email a friend friend
jtallen83
I see no reason that will not work.
Armed Eye Doc
Is this what you are looking at? https://www.dpmsinc.com/Standard-Length-Free-Float-Tube_p_308.html Make sure it is for 308. A search of the part number comes up with Midway which lists it as an AR15 handguard. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1413269192/dpms-free-float-tube-handguard-ar-15-aluminum-black

JohnDavid
So i have called the DPMS store twice and I have to say that they do not seem to be very knwledgeable or helpful when it comes to these parts. I would like to put a hand guard on my LR that is like the hunter model but it seems as though the 308 versions are hard to find info on. Could someone point me in the right direction and show me a solid hand guard and the right gas block. The rifle comes with a picitany rail block that is lower than the other rail but I assume you still need o low profile block? Thanks
