redbaron8
Well now I'm wondering if I made a mistake. Ater reading all of the various posts in re proper buffers, springs, etc as applies to AR 10's, here is my question. I acquired a Standard Armalite upper with a 20 inch barrel from a rifle made about 8-9 yrs ago. It has +/- 800-900 rds thru it. Then I ordered the Armalite L10PCB lower with the 6 position stock. (see earlier post). Mated the two together, and went shooting. Rifle functioned perfectly, and since I shot it a couple of times since, I haven't opened it up yet. What have I done <dontknow>, or am I doomed to break my gun ;) Thanks for the input, in advance. Red.
edgecrusher
not sure what you're concern is, the lower you bought seems to be correct for your rifle. that lower is a 7.62 specific and will come with the proper components
imschur
Edgecrusher is correct. You bought all Armalite assembled pieces you should have nothing to worry about. All the other stuff comes in to play when folks build a weapon from the ground up with assorted parts.
weaponizer
I think what redbaron8's concern is that he has a rifle gas system and is using a collapsible stock, so its probably got a carbine buffer in there, correct me if i misread it, i am still on my first cup of coffee lol.... edgecrusher
yes bud, gtg <thumbsup>. the stock choice doesn't have any affect on your gas system. the buffer used is only directly related to the stock. because you have a rifle length gas system that does not mean you need a rifle buffer, unless you are using a fixed stock which requires one (a1, prs, ect.). when you bought your complete lower from armalite, you bought a ready to go lower that only required pinning to an upper. now go shoot your stick! redbaron8
Again, thx for all the input.I've shot it about 40 rds worth so far, and it is hell on wheels. When I get it all dolled up, I'll send some pics. Red.
