claudester Posted April 4, 2019 Report Posted April 4, 2019 Just picked up my first AR-10 in .308 and would like to find out the MFG. of the barrel if I can. It has a capital I or H with some design in the middle of it. Any help is appreciated.

Give us more to work with here...
claudester Posted April 4, 2019 Author Report Posted April 4, 2019 I had assumed when I bought it that it was a DPMS LR-308 factory build but I'm changing uppers on it and just wanted to know more about the upper in case I would sell it. Up by the muzzle is stamped DPMS 7.62x51 1-10
Robocop1051 Posted April 4, 2019 Report Posted April 4, 2019 It is a factory DPMS LR308. We never figured out what the barrel stamp was, but the question comes up pretty regularly online… And always from a factory DPMS rifle.
Robocop1051 Posted April 4, 2019 Report Posted April 4, 2019 No problem. It looks like the question has been popping up since about 2006 or 2008. Many have stated that they inquired with DPMS directly… But nobody has confirmed a response. The best answer would be to send your serial number to Remington/DPMS and request a history on it. They should be able to tell you exactly who made the barrel, if it came as a complete assembly.
