Love those old birds. Who doesn't love the sound of a good ol fashioned radial engine? A buddy of mine works for the Air and Space museum restoration shops. When they were still at the Garber facility in Suitland Maryland, he gave me, and some other friends, a (fantastic) behind the scenes tour of their facility. As in, go in on the weekend and actually get to crawl around inside some of the greatest historic aircraft known to man. Pretty much from when aircraft were born, up to the Apollo program. We finished up with a walk through, in what they called "the morgue". It was the controlled environment area that they still had all of the Apollo spacesuits, all laid out. Pretty fukin cool.
