I recently purchased a Springfield Saint Victor.  Accuracy is so so with everything except 168 Gr bullets.  I would like to mount a Surefire SS762 Suppressor on it but cannot because of the length of the hand guard.  I also detest the side blast coming out of the Comp on the barrel.  Does anyone know who manufactures the Hand guard on the Victor?  I would like to take the 15" off and put on a 12" guard of the same manufacture to avoid issues with the barrel nut.  I would also like to know how difficult it is to remove the Comp from the barrel.  Any advise would be appreciated.    I almost regret buying the damn thing.

hand guard looks to be proprietary? as for mb. removal I prefer an action rod that locks into the barrel lugs but for one time use its more than expensive.. gun smith might be cheaper?

If you can get the barrel off of the gun, and measure the threading on the front of the upper receiver, that's the first start.  It's 1 7/16" diameter, but it's either 16 threads per inch of 18 threads per inch.  That's gonna tell us if it's threaded for DPMS-based pattern or Armalite AR-10 pattern (in that order).  If it's DPMS-based, we have something else that needs looked at, after that.
