AR-308 BCG and Gas Tube Problem

Hello all! I am attempting to complete my first ar-10 build and I'm running into an issue. I would like to pick your collective brain to figure this out. I'm using an aero precision upper with an aero .308 BCG and aero .750 Low Profile Gas Block and Stainless Steel rifle length Gas Tube. The issue may arise because I am using a 24" Shaw barrel. When I have the gas block lined up and I try to push the BCG into the upper assembly the gas key pushes the gas tube and causes the gas block to slide about 9/16" down the barrel from where it needs to be over the gas port on the barrel. The gas tube is 5.125" so between the Armalite and DPMS it seems this would be the shorter of the 2 styles. If I fix the gas block onto the barrel the BCG wont seed far enough for me to get my upper and lower together. I'm hoping that someone has an answer for this issue. Thanks in advance!!!

It sounds like your gas tube is too long.  What length is the gas system?  Rifle?  Carbine?  Intermediate?  Do you have a link to the barrel?

Also, can you take a picture of where the gas tube ends in the upper?  Take the picture up through the magwell with the gas block and tube in place but without the BCG.

It should look something like this...
