Ar-10 recommendations?

Hey yall. So very little experience with ar-10’s aside from a previous aero m5. 
 

I am looking for a ar-10 style .308 and everytime I think I have found one I like.... i end up not liking how “proprietary” they are.

like the sig 716i. Looks like a sweet rifle but I like to know it will have spare parts and parts compatibility down the line.

 

DD5 looks nice but expensive. 
 

any suggestions? What would have the most after market compatibility should a part go down?

There is no milspec for the large platform AR's. Most are either Armalite pattern or DPMS pattern.

As long as the upper and lower is from the same manufacturer things usually work out.
