Swineburn Posted April 19, 2010 Report Share Posted April 19, 2010 Other than my M16 in the military 20 years ago, have no other AR experience and looking for some advice and or opinions on an AR in .308. Purpose is general fun rifle to use for hunting deer/hog to target shooting at the range for fun. For the hunting side I really want a compact rifle for a change and saw the Bushmaster LR308 ocr. Figured if i really wanted to get long range target shooting I could just get a 24"barrel. Anyways... all advice would greatly appreciated.Thanks. BM sold their .308 design to Rock river Arms a while back and now they are once again in the game with this ORC. Does anyone know what the pattern its based on? What magazines? There are some differences in there package setups instead of building one from scratch. The Bushmaster has just about everything I'm wanting from the start and beginning my AR transformation, lol.
