Just saying "hey" and hoping to have some decent discussions and learn all I can.

Newb to the site and to the platform. Built up my first .308 lower and mated it with a very nice POF upper.

Now, I have to find some optics......

regarding optics, that seems to be the hardest choice for me with these guns. I got a good deal on a Leupold for my 24" DPMS. I want something different for the 18". Im leaning towards the Nikon Tactical Monarch today.

Hey Okie,

I've used the Burris Fullfield II 4.5-14x42 on both my .308 AR's and it worked great.

I plan on going the Super Sniper route from SWFA, I have one on my .50 cal and really like it. For some reason it has been given a bum rap by some, but it has never let me down yet with over 300+ rnds of .50 BMG.
