Tripledeuce Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Why the heck do FF forarms cost so much? Many seem to be the price of a good upper. respectfully Terry
preeze Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 I just ordered an aluminum one from Armalite for $80they charge $40 for EACH 1913 rail though...I have an older AR10 T so already have the FF forearm but mine's carbon fiber.
Robocop1051 Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Strength, reliability and precision quality. You can buy one for under $100, but you're tempting fate with the possibility of airsoft quality parts. If you want to make 100% sure that you "picatinny" rails are exact measurements from tip to end, then you gotta spend the bucks. If you want to make sure that you can dish out a good beating on your rifle and be sure that the handguard is going to stay in working condition, you're going to have to crack your wallet. I agree that price tags like Superior Weapon Systems or even Daniel Defense can be intimidating.... But there's a reason why the best of the best use them <thumbsup>
