The guy hosting the machinegun shoot tells a story of when he got hired on with the Pima Co. Rangers.

This ancient deputy at the time was allowed to carry a single-action revolver, as he was so old that was an authorized side arm when he was hired.  On qualification this old man could fire six rounds, unload, and reload that singl-action faster than MOST of the deputies with D/A revolvers and speedloaders.
