rusty762 Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 Hey guys, I have a brand new Leupold 3.5-10 Mark 4 and want to mount it to my IRA .308 I am building. I own LaRue/Badger Ordnance scope mounts and some others but stumbled onto this company and it looks like one of a kind product. The scope mount seems like such a simple product but if its not designed properly the quality of your scope does not really matter... Does anyone have any experience with American Rifle scope rings? Your thoughts? The owner Ted is a really cool guy and after talking to him I am surprised more people are not using his scope rings. I am buying a pair but just curious who else has used them. http://americanrifle.com/
imschur Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 The link doesnt appear to be working. Post up some pictures when you get yours.
rusty762 Posted May 29, 2010 Author Report Posted May 29, 2010 Make sure that www does not get pasted into your browser or the site wont load. I will post pictures as soon as I have them, need to find a barrel still for my IRA project but will try the scope mounts out on my AR15.
imschur Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 nah it was them, the fav.ico was in the address. Its working now.The rings look substantial. Thanks for posting this
imschur Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 The price point perhaps keeps the popularity down regardless of quality. These rings appear to be priced with some of the most popular high end QD rings. I look forward to your feedback. Its always great t learn of more alternatives
survivalshop Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 That's some nice rings . I have found that if you lap & alien your rings , they should fit perfectly . No need for special engineering on a set of rings. All scope tubes should be close to perfectly round & if your rings are aliened & perfectly round , there should not be a fitment problem.
