Classic example of people who no nothing about guns making laws about guns, usually a knee jerk reaction to some irrational fear to scare the people into giving the government more power and overreach. I can't recall any time in history this has ever worked out.

In a world of 3D printers, bench top CNC machines and human inginuity this isn't going to solve the problem.
