Competition makes you better

Obvious statement.

More on this later, after the initial post, some backstory.  Up front, though, I've been shooting Gas Gun PRS matches since May 2021, now.  I'm a better shooter, because of it. Even after 20+ years in the Army, with half of that in SOF units. Competition makes you better. 

Watch this one.  I'll get into more background detail in a future post - towards the end of my military career, we were actually shooting unit competitions monthly.  Later story.

This is good - shooting under pressure just make you a better shooter.  Professional instruction make you a better shooter.  Even if you "know everything" already.  Again, more on that later...

That is why i got a 338 Lapua I am 76 years old stove up like a mofo I dig  in up on a mountain and send em to the valley .... but I wish I was young enough to do this....

You are young enough - to do what we need you to do.  By FAR, brother.

YOU shoot the elk - we have younger people to recover it.  Then, we have you here to teach them how to quarter it to get it out, then butcher it.There isn't a single human here that has harvested more elk, and has as much experience at that, as you.

Another point - I can put you in a position, from a long fukkin way off - and I know you can cover that position and it's Range Card, with NO problems.

You are way more valuable than you think...
