Guys,

anybody here replace the buttstock on the LR308 AP4 with a full length dpms buttstock?  Is there a tool that one has to purchase to remove the locking nut?  Do you need to purchase the dpms buttstock and buffer/spring or will aftermarket parts work?

thanks

The carbine castle nut may be straked in place or they might have lock tight-ed it . A good carbine stock wrench is a good investment ,but you can use a pin punch , just be careful & have the the stock supported in some way.

You can get any ones std. stock & rifle length receiver extension (any AR stock & receiver extension will fit ) ,but you will need a 308 rifle length spring & rifle buffer ( your carbine spring & buffer & receiver extension will not work ). You can get them from from DPMS or some one who sells DPMS parts. (Midway ,Fulton Armory ,just to name a few )
