Here's the new toy sitting on my FFL's couch. Headed to the range tomorrow after I attach a cheapie scope I have sitting around. I've got new furniture ordered for it and will be looking at some other upgrades, most likely a trigger.

Nice, thats the same model I have so far I have put a Geissele ssa trigger and low profile adjustable gas block. Next is going to be the Apex gaiter hand guard and a new magpul butt stock. Haven't decided on what model for the butt stock yet. Been able to put 1/2 moa groups with my hand loads so far. I hope you enjoy yours I know I love to shoot mine.

Thanks. This whole .308 idea happened pretty quickly for me. I was walking through Walmart and saw they had the Sportical model for $897 and it got me to thinking about an AR in .308 but I knew I wanted the forward assist. My brother (another gun freak) got to looking around on Gunbroker and found a seller that would deliver the Oracle model for less than $1k. 

Today will be its inaugural trip to the range and I hope it goes smooth though I expect I will have a few issues as it is a new rifle and I'll be using the factory steel mags.

Just be sure to oil the snockers out bolt and carrier(dripping) for the first 200 rounds these rifles are usually pretty tight when new.
