Obama Orders Raise for Biden, Members of Congress, Federal Workers

There's a ship of fools in DC... -
Unfortunately I've only had one trip to the range with it and didn't get to spend much time on it yet. Hope to remedy that soon.

Saw this one on Gunbroker. The case hardening is beautiful but being made from steel ya gotta wonder how much the thing weighs. Not that it would matter since I can't see it doing a lot of woods time. ;) Oh, and Feinstein is batshit crazy.

I've bought a couple guns off Armslist but they were both local sales. The thing about Armslist is that there is no buyer\seller protection that comes with sites such as eBay. I didn't have any issues with my purchases but I wouldn't be too keen on setting up a deal\FFL transfer with a seller from another state. I'd rather go the Gunbroker route for that and have several times.

I've never understood those from other countries who like to stick their nose in the US's business. If they don't like it, don't come here. Or if they are already here and don't like it, they are cordially invited to return to whence they came. In very simple terms: GTFO ;)

Russians demand more liberal gun laws at home following Sandy Hook shooting

Very interesting! -
Reloading will be the future. I have a feeling the grabbers will go after factory ammo hard.

Proud Okie, checking in.

Thanks guys. If I were going to carry it in the field I'd switch it back to lighter furniture but this will be fine for range time. Precision offers a few different kits in both laminate and solid. I chose the black laminate since I think it "works" with the rest of the rifle.

Just installed the Precision Firearms kit on my LR-308. This pic was lifted off the internet and provides a better view of the stock and grip.

You're a bad influence, Magwa. ;) I have the same rifle and have been watching the transformation on yours.... Looks great!

Seems like many of us enjoy several types of firearms, myself included. I've been interested in firearm history since my youth and enjoy shooting the tools of yesteryear. One of my favorites guns in a replica of a 1836 Colt Paterson. Those are so old school it has to be disassembled to load. But EVERY revolver made (even today) owes its existence to the Paterson. Anyhow... I have a HUGE soft spot for Swedish Mausers. I feel that they may just be the finest military Mauser ever made in a caliber (6.5x55) that is fantastic. Here's the current stash. 1903 M94 on the top, 1942 M38 in the middle, 1899 M96 on the bottom. For awhile I've been wanting an FSR M96. The FSR rifles were civilian shooting club rifles and were modified M96s with diopter sights. Fellas, those rifles can shoot! I've got one headed my way and can't wait to get it out to see what it can do. I've got M1 Garands, M1 Carbines, Mosin Nagants, etc. as well. Let's see some toys!

Very nice 03A4!

My thoughts on it exactly. I went directly to my kids after work, gave them a hug, and told them I loved them. It's tragic that there are some parents of some innocent little five year olds who won't be able to do that this evening. What is it with these idiots who feel like they have to take down a bunch of innocent people on their way out of their pathetic life? I mean, I'm really sorry that their life has gotten to the point where they feel they need to end it but freakin' ask for help! And if you don't want help, quietly take your dumb ass away from other people and end it. Shooting a bunch of little kids... there's not words for it.

Sure would be nice if there wasn't a demand. Then there wouldn't be a supply.

Very nice!

Ditto. I'm keeping an eye on this thread!

When I was a kid in the '70s my dad was a "kitchen table" FFL and sold a lot of S&W revolvers to local LEOs. My brother and I were taught gun safety from an early age and were in NRA markmanship classes, etc. but... One day my dad had a bunch of guns laid out on the kitchen table and my brother, myself, and my brother's buddy were sitting around the table. I don't know if my brother was showing off for his buddy or what but he aimed one of the revolvers in the direction of the living room and pulled the trigger before checking to see if the gun was unloaded. The bullet whizzed past my left shoulder and entered the leg of a chair in the living room. My dad was in the garage at the time and came rushing in the house. Let's just say he was not pleased, and rightfully so.

I've heard some talk of LOKI being out of business. Anyone heard anything?

The jury is still out on that sight. I got a deal on it from my local forum and am still getting used to it. It is adjustable for windage but not elevation and I feel the aperture is slightly too large. It co-witnesses ok with the Aimpoint. Not sure how long it will stay on there. :)
