Robert Gunter Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 Ordering a JP LRB-07 with 22in medium contour barrel. First true long range semi automatic rifle besides the couple of bolt actions I have. What do you recommend for a scope? Would like to stay between 1000.00 to 1500.00.
StainTrain Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 What is the max magnification that you are interested in?
Robert Gunter Posted January 4, 2013 Author Report Posted January 4, 2013 What do you recommend? I'm not really sure what the gun is capable of. I opted for the 22in barrel.
edgecrusher Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 I have one of these on my LaRue 20 OBR, mounted in a LaRue LT104 (the OBR has a 20moa cant built into the rail), it holds zero from Mass (my home) to Arizona and back! We hit out to 550 or 600(?) on the range easy, would guess that 800-1000 is possible. Great glass. I have the illuminated TMR.http://www.opticsplanet.com/leupold-mark-4-4-5-14x50mm-lr-t-m1-illuminated-reticle-metric-rifle-scope.html
Robert Gunter Posted January 4, 2013 Author Report Posted January 4, 2013 That's right there in my price range. I looked at some of the mark 4's but there was so many choices. Question how do u like you larue. I looked at some and was thinking about also buying one? The reason i decided to go with JP first was I couldn't find nothing bad about them. Everybody seemed happy with there products and customer service which is very important to me.
BLKSHEEP Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 These are both great scopes for 1/2 the $$http://swfa.com/Vortex-4-16x50-Viper-PST-30mm-Rifle-Scope-P44561.aspxhttp://swfa.com/Weaver-3-15x50-Tactical-30mm-Rifle-Scope-P49448.aspx <thumbsup>

I can't tout their stuff enough, it's downfall is cost and lead times. Get through that and smiles are permanently etched!
