Fulton barrel and muzzle break quesiton.

Recommended Posts

Ok, I purchased a 18.5 inch SS  1/10 twist Fulton barrel for my sons dpms 308.  He got it for xmas.  I need to send it to someone here locally to check the head space.  My question is this.  What parts do I need to affix the barrel to the reciever?  Is it just a locking nut?  I also got him a JP muzzle break and I kind of have the same question.  I have been reading about crush washers, shims, etc and I want the best and safest way to get this done.  Thx guys.

You'll need a barrel nut to affix ot to the upper receiver.  If you're running some kind of rail assembly or free-float handguard, they usually come with their own barrel nut.

For the muzzel device, crush washer, peel washer, they both work.  Crush washer is most-of-the-time easier.  make sure it's for a .308 AR, and not the 5.56 AR-15 piece.
