choppervince
Hi Pal, well they are different, but not by much. I would say stay with .308,and there is mountains of load info out there, and you can use military brass. I have been reloading, for a few years, for bolt guns and M1As( I got got my first AR10, building another). You will find, that you have to trim your brass, for Semi-Autos, once you get OAL, (Over All Length) You got it. Lots of Deals on Surplus Bullets( Pulled) Brass, ect. out there. .308 the way to for sure, I would also look into his big brother, the .300 Win. Mag. You will like him too. Later vince. imschur
I pretty sure you need an AR-30 or equivalent for 300 Winchester Magnum. The cartridge is much larger than a .

choppervince
Hi, I just checked Armalite's Web Site, and they offer a 338 federal. Specs on that round are a little better than a 308, but Iam not sure, given all the 308 reloading stuff out there, if worth it. later vince.
