Goofball310
I've built a few AR15's and this will be my first AR10 and the first time using a rifle buffer system.I read the sticky regarding buffers and according to the info AR15 & AR10 rifle buffer tubes are the same. I plan on using a Magpul PRS stock and was wondering why Magpul has a AR10 PRS and a AR15 PRS if the tubes are the same. Also, will DPMS 308 rifle buffers work in an Armalite rifle build?TIA

I have a DPMS LR308. I want to put a PRS on it.Do I need to change buffer/ spring and or tube? I intend to buy the 308 PRS but do I need to change the other items? If so what items and where can they be obtained?
Goofball310
It depends on which stock you currently have on your LR308. If you have a collapsible stock then you will need to change the buffer tube, buffer, and spring. If you currently have a fixed A2 stock then you can just slide on the PRS.If you need to change out the buffer tube and you don't know how this is a good video to watch:
Goofball310
^^ No other purchase necessary besides the PRS^^ Requires new buffer tube, buffer, and spring
