Does anyone out there have any DO or DO NOT DO advice for using my sonic cleaner on LR 308 parts? My concern is finished aluminum parts as the steel parts clean up well with no issues and save a lot of scrubbing and cussing. You have to be vigilant about getting everything rinsed and dried good before lubing.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I've one of the Hornady Magnum Sonic Cleaners.

If the parts fit, they go in there!  Being anally retentive, the parts are then rinsed in pure distilled water, and then that is blown out with air.  Others say that they heat the parts to evaporate the water but I don't like using heat on heat-treated parts.

What I would do is after I pulled the parts out of the cleaner I would soak them in a solution of Simple Green and regular tap water (warm or hot water is preferred), then sub them a bit with a rag them blow them off with air after you rinse them again in regular tap water.  Start all over again with your lube.
