LR-308 Bolt Carrier Key

Could some let me know if the standard AR-15 bolt carrier key will work with a LR-308 bolt carrier, or will I need a caliber specific key?  Thanks all for the help and not laughling me.  Trying to build my first 308 AR platform rifle
