Painted Logo Engraving on LAR-8 A4 Varmint

Recommended Posts

I just picked this baby up.  I installed a Bipod and now need to get a scope then off to the range.  I have a good friend who is a Burris Rep so scopes are 70% off Retail.  He gets one a year but doesn't use them so he gave me another coupon.  Just trying to decide which one for long distant target shooting.

Very nice of him!

Their XTR line of tactical scopes are supposed to be pretty good.  4-16x50mm if you're looking at longer ranges.

They also have the 1.5-6x40mm with the 7.62 lighted reticle.

My friend has a Fullfield Tactical he is very happy with also.

Jon,  Do you think the XTR 6-24X50mm is over kill?  I do want to go out long distant.

I have a Leupold 6.5-20 on my 260 Rem  LAR8.  Haven't really used it  much at over 300yds, but I like it!   You can only hit as well as you can see.  20X lets me see more. It used to be I could see well  with a 10X scope,,,,,,but my eyes seem to age, every year.

  respectfully
