texas30cal
They are the only "hunting" bullets I had access to, and have not had time to get to the range, may be able to go fri. evening, does anyone have a load they have used in a 308ar with these or a very similar bullet? I have Lake City and commercial brass, Federal large rifle or CCI 34's, Varget and H4895, and possibly another powder but I cannot remember right now. Normally load and test but just don't have time to do all that before the weekend, they don't have to be sub-moa rounds, the longest shot I have is just over 100yds, Thank's. bubbasks
I run 43 gr h4895 on 165 sgk and 168 smk with cci mag LR. Closer to 44 with std primers. Gets me a bit over 2700 so you can back it off some.
98Z5V
Be careful loading that bullet - the TSX is longer than another bullet of the same weight. It's longer than some 175s that are out there. Hit this for load data, and start on the low side, varying up by 0.2gr. If you load up 5 each like that, for the next 5 weights, it'll be apparent which one is performing best. http://www.barnesbullets.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/02/308WinWeb.pdf
