Nereus
? Can the CA compliant bullet button be replaced with a standard mag release or is the lower only milled for the bullet button? I KNOW all legal ramifications so leave that part alone. I ask because I will not be here forever.
FaRKle!
Bullet buttons can be removed with either a removal tool (<$10) or possibly flat head screwdriver depending on how far down the bullet button was screwed onto the mag catch. Robocop1051
The "bullet button" and the standard magazine release are the same dimensions. Completely interchangeable. If you have a rifle with a CA compliant bullet button, you can swap to a standard magazine release in about 2-3 minutes with little/no tools. If you travel in and out of the state, there are bullet buttons that can be disengaged with a tool, and become equivalent to a standard magazine release. Nereus
Raddlock looks workable. Easy to install? I already ordered the tool to remove the original equipment.
Robocop1051
Tool? Ugh... You can remove a magazine release by hand... and most bullet buttons can be removed/installed with a small screw driver.

I already ordered the tool to remove the original equipment. They're all easy to install.I personally like the Vamfire MLD a bit more due to the larger diameter of the release button. You will want to use a dab of thread locker on it though.

Nereus
After further review I went with the Raddlock. The only 4 turns out was more like 8 for me but it works perfect. Mahalo to Robo for the advice.
