survivalshop
This what happens to a 7mm 08 case when some one shoots it in a 30'06 chamber , some one needs to pay attention to what ammo for what rifle . I loaded the ammo for a hunter friend & he came to me about it & after checking his rifle , well he was not pleased with him self .It helps to have the right rifle with you with the right ammo. I spent some time test firing different test rd's. with his rifle to get the most out of it , one hole groups when all said & done . I can't help he has two same looking 700 bolts rifles in different cal's. in his safe . He said he couldn't understand why I showed such good groupings & his first & only rd. ( which the case stuck in the chamber , of course ) didn't even hit the target. Slight tap with a cleaning rod & this is what it gave birth to , a new caliber . planeflyer21
I've thought about something in close to that caliber. However, I'd do away that that short neck and make it a slightly tapered straightwall cartridge. IIRC you could get something over .40 caliber. Should be a great mid-range thumper! Tripledeuce
I'v seen more 300 Win Mags shot in 300 Wby's than I care to count! Best one was a guy who shot up 2 boxes of 7mm Rem mag in a 338 mag! Trying to get it sighted in. Worked OK at 25 yards, all over the place at 100.LOL!!!!
