Upper for LR308 Lower

    My DPMS LR308 stainless 24" bull barrel panther is a beast. What uppers would work with this lower?

     I want a 16" barrel free floated cause I like to use a sling, 100 meter steel plicking and a deer hunt when I would like to take it for a walk (my 556 is not legal to take game here its to small) is the needs.

Any DPMS/SR 25 upper will be compatible , as long as it is for a 308 or caliber that works with same receiver. Build your own , if you want . I think there was a 18.5" light weight FA barrel ,in 308, in the add section here.

I don't have any tools or knowledge to put one together. Could I slap a dpms recon on the lower and run it without any more changes?

Yup. Any DPMS 308 upper will drop right in. (not the new G2 though)
