INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Officer was shot as he tried to make a traffic stop on Temple Avenue just after 9:00 a.m. Sunday.

Police responded to a report of “officer down” near 34th Street and Keystone Avenue where they discovered their fellow officer suffering from a gunshot wound.

An ambulance arrived to take the officer to Wishard Hospital.

The suspect was last seen heading north and may have damage on the driver’s side of a 1998 gold Camry with license plate number 319LOT.

Police have not yet released the name of the officer involved or his condition.

It seems the crazies our pouring out of the woodwork the past few weeks.

Been a rough year for LE shootings already.

And it seems as soon as the gun control band wagon starts rolling again....the shootings increase!!! <dontknow>

Kind'a makes you wonder doesn't it ? Every time there's a gun control push the media is suddenly loaded with shooting incidents. Just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.
