No sir. It screwed right to the adapter just like it would on an AR. I can't remember offhand who made this particular adapter. I will say, it makes a difference having that extension in the web of your hand when shooting a bunch! Wish I could be more help. Will try to look at who made it when I get home this weekend! <dontknow>

I second the good review on the Endine! Put one on my 870 as well. Very noticeable difference in the felt recoil. <thumbsup>

Many of the high quality ones attach with glue. Personally, I don't see it as a weak spot. Been running one for years, and believe me.....it aint coming loose without a massive fight! ;)

Much backpedaling going on from Kel Tec right now on when it may actually hit market. Distributors trying to place orders are getting nowhere so far. Much like the 22 magnum pistol they debuted at the SHOT Show two years ago. I'm still waiting!! It does look cool, but may be a ghost! <dontknow>

I have been watching this develop for a few months now. I'm attracted by a 30 caliber bullet that I can fire from my existing platforms and use my vast collection of Pmags with. The deciding factor for me will be availability and cost of factory ammo!!?? <munch>

The Larue mounts are pricey for sure. But man they work so sweet. I don't buy a bunch of them, but thought my first .308 AR deserved one. This is one of their new VFZ mounts. It does not have the quick release levers, so is about $50 cheaper. Ran me right at $14o delivered.They still guarantee the return to zero on them. Yes, I drank the Larue koolaid!! ;)

Not a great picture, just a quick one from my cell phone! It is a DPMS LR-308 AP4 as I understand it. I just brought it home today. Added the Larue Tactical mount, and a Larry Vickers Sling. It came with a Nikon 3-9X with a BDC reticle. That worked kinda neato, as I have a .308 bolt gun with a Nikon BDC as well! It appears to have an aftermarket adjustable trigger. I'm guessing Gieselle by a rather uneducated guess. Put a whole twelve rounds through it. More this weekend. Shot nice. Quite a difference from my typical AR's! Will be putting in a Magpul order for magazines and other goodies soon as budget allows!
