I made this for other reasons, but I'm posting it here just to show off my new pistol. I really really like my new P30. What a sweet pistol. Already want one in 40. Maybe a P30L in 40. :)

Yes, it's drilled in. And that is straight from HK. that is how they do it. you can order triggers with it straight from them. so that isn't a "Bill" thing. It started in USPs as their "match" set up. 

 

There is another gun smith that does trigger work on HKs and they add material internally for an over travel stop. I haven't seen it, but it seems more elegant if that is what you are after. That isn't adjustable though.
