buzziebells Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 Hello. I have been building 300 blackout SBR's and now would like to move up to .308ar's. I have a Remington R 25 in 7mm-08. I would like to replace the factory barrel with a 12.5" .308 barrel. The 7mm-08 barrel is rifle length gas. The 12.5" .308 barrel is mid-length gas. I am retaining the factory A2 stock and buffer tube. I have been researching this, and if I understand correctly, I should be good to go by retaining the factory stock, buffer tube, spring and buffer, correct? This gun will be run suppressed 100% of the time. I will be installing a SLR Rifleworks adjustable gas block to help control the over gassing. Any more suggestions? Thanks.
Rsquared Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 Yes. An extra heavy buffer from heavybuffers.com. I use one in my AR-10 SBR that I built last year. She runs pretty good, even without an adjustable block. Even suppressed.
