    HSM Ammo

He didn't mention when it might be coming out did he?
  2. I was thinking about some PRVI ammo, let us know how it shoots
  3. The .308 i've built is using a DPMS chrome BCG and a DPMS 24" Chrome Bull Barrel.............upper and lower were stripped Iron Ridge Arms............so since its brand spanking new parts, I can shoot either one
  4. They really do need to make the .308 section more visible or atleast group all the parts together
  5. Just outta curiosity, what kinda budget would you have for a bolt gun build imschur?
  6. So basically......7.62x51 can be used in a .308 and the .308 CANNOT be used in a 7.62x51
  7. Here is mine, which is built using all DPMS compatible parts, mainly went that route for more parts availability and compatibility... I would suggest get getting the Magpul PRS stock, I find it very useful with the LOP and cheek adjustments. For handguards, if your upper is threaded for Armalite threads, I would go with the LaRue...I wanted it for mine, but it wasn't DPMS compatible... For the BCG, I would keep an eye out on RainierArms.com since they have alot more parts for Armalite... Can't offer an opinion as far as muzzle brakes go, my barrel is threaded, but until I get my suppressor, its just going to have a thread protector on it... Hope I was able to help some....good luck! <thumbsup>
  8. Thanks fellas....I just ordered the BCM GUNFIGHTER CH and now all I need to do is get the gas tube and i'll be in business
  9. Guys, i still need to get the gas tube and pin for this, is there someplace you suggest getting it from, as I assume its different than the AR15 gas tubes?
  10. I was actually trying to find where I could get a gas tube for my .308 AR and this forum showed up in the results...glad it did :)
  11. No prob <thumbsup>
  12. Thats where i got both of my BCG's, one of each and I'm pretty happy with the service from them
  13. I would also like to hear :D

There are actually a few different Elites, but the Dark Elite mainly differs because its all black, including the black aluminum grip......the beavertail is a great addition, for me atleast.....the trigger was made slightly larger to accomadate shooting with gloves on if its cold or any other condition in which the shooter might use gloves, the DE also has a Short Reset Trigger which is also very nice....and you noticed the rails, basically if you wanna put one of the accessories there Also, when you order it...if its not in stock, you have to option to order it with or without a threaded barrel <thumbsup>
  15. Thanks dude....I would say make a list of criteria and what you exactly plan to do with the bolt gun and go from there.....I can recommend a few builders and I can recommend one NOT to use......and I'd be more than happy to field any questions and hopefully be able to give ya an answer :)
  16. I got mine back in March from RainierArms.com and I just checked and they are currently out......I think I paid about $390 for mine

Not the 226.....but I do have the 220 Dark Elite...love that gun, will be my CC gun when I get my non-res permits.......Maryland sucks
  18. Thanks dude......unfortunately not, Seekins wasn't done prototyping theirs when I placed the order for mine, its a Badger Ordnance M5 using 300WM mags that had the feed lips tweaked to hold the 06 rounds...if I push hard, I can get about 7 rounds per mag, but I usually load 5 per just for easy counting Yup..the Seekins base is 20MOA Next bolt gun I build will have either Seekins or CDI bottom metal......CDI just came out with a setup to accomodate Savage 110 LA's ;D I can't wait to thread this thing too!!!
  19. Hey man, I didn't build this myself, but I did spec out all the parts and brands that I wanted for it....its a custom .30-06 Here's the parts list: Stock: Manners T4A (Custom weight @ #4.5) Action: Rem 700 LA w/ PT&G Bolt (Trued & Blueprinted) Trigger: Rifle Basix set @ #2.5 DBM: Badger Ordnance M5 Barrel: LW-50 26" #7 Contour Rings/Base: Seekins Precision Optic: S&B PMII 4x16-50 w/ Premier Reticles Gen 2 XR reticle If you go for a Manners stock, Tom Manners is a great guy to talk to and you dont have to weight nearly as long for a Manners vs. McMillian Good luck! I love my bolt guns!
  20. I really wanted the LaRue rail first....but, they dont make the barrel nut for DPMS threads, even though on the website it did say that it would fit DPMS......but I really do like it and it came with rail covers as well

    HSM Ammo

I've shot their 190 in my custom .30-06 and I love their ammo....looking to get some for my .308.......if you join up to SniperCentral.com, you get a small price break which isn't bad when you buy by the case and they also have drop compensation charts that you can order to for the HSM ammo
  22. Hiya guys.....its not a complete rifle from them, but I did get their stripped lowers and uppers, one set for me and one set for my dad. Here is my current parts list...w/ the exception of charging handle, gas tube and pins: Stripped Iron Ridge Upper/Lower Magpul PRS Standard Grip....for now Standard LPK....for now DPMS 24" Bull barrel DD Lite 12.0 rail DPMS BCG (Chrome) And here it is just pieced together, nothing tightened
  23. Nice! There pretty much isnt anything near me, unless its a private club that you have to join.....I do go to a range sometimes in Delmarva (Delmarva Sporting Clays), but their range is only out to 300yds Any suggestions on what kinda ammo brands to start out with?
  24. Thanks 98Z5V....i wish i was in SoMD, i'm unfortunately about 5 mins away south Bloodymore >:(
  25. I'll take a chance here, I can move it if need be...
