  1. I saw that set at thier booth at SHOT; BADASS is an understatment! That is going to be a nice rifle!
  2. I have a DPMS .260 upper on a POF lower and it shoots awesome. I have all but quit shooting .308 for long range. I do shoot a lot of .308 SBRs but for the long range shooting I'm sold on the the .260. It shoots flatter and has less recoil than the .308. The BC of the bullets is way higher and it is very easy to reload. It also seems(no scientific data to back this up) to shoot way better suppressed. I don't know why but it will shoot half inch groups at 200 suppressed and one inch groups unsuppressed. may have a lot to do with the monkey behind the gun.
  3. I run a 14.5 POF with a Surefire MB762K muzzle brake and it shoots real nice, it's loud as all get out but you can run it like a .223 carbine. I have shot a SCAR-H in the 12 inch format without a muzzle barke and it is a BEAR! I also shot the new LMT 12 ich full auto gun at the SHOT Military and LE range day this year. I hit the targets but you have to really MAN UP on it. Having said all that I have been shooting a lot of SBR .308s as of late and I'm hooked on them. I have had to spend some extra time in the gym but you have a whole lot of power in a fairly small package. Just some thoughts.
  4. Well I guess somebody had to do it. Man, I bet that thing is heavy. Need to add some more plates on at the gym.
  5. OH YEAH! That is a nice boomstick! SBR .308s are my new sickness. I keep trying to quit but so far it's not working. Godd shooting!
  6. Frank and the Boys at POF are good folks. I have had the privilege to be a friend of Frank's for some years now and I love it when I hear good stuff about them. I love thier rifles and own 6 of thier rifles. I know that it is a sickness, but I can't help myself.
  7. That is bad to the bone! A sticker of that would be cool!
  8. These are Bad Ass! Barry is an old freind and I got to see these during the development phase. I'm running a set on my 3 gun rifle and love them!
  9. I use them in all my AR rifles, DPMS LR308 included and they work just fine. You may have to trim them a little but they give that nice rock solid feel that I like in a rifle. Cheers!
  10. I have to agree with survivalshop, check your mags. Also, here are a couple of other options. Check to see if feed ramps are smooth or have a burr that would interfere with the bullet feeding. Rebarrel it to another caliber. Reload for it to shorten your logistics cycle Sell it and by another claiber for lang range shooting. Just some thoughts. If you do sort it out it would be nice to know what the issues was. Thanks!
  11. I'm with BHW, 6.8 is bad ass! I have two complete rifles and two more uppers in it and a Dillion 550B dedicated to loading it. We have killed a load of hogs and coyotes on my Dad's property with those guns. 110 HDY AMAX or Barnes 110 TSX is a death dealer. I like to think of it as the .40 S&W of the carbine world. It's not a .308 but if you want something light, portable and deadly it will do the job. I have shot past 500 with it but it starts to lose a bit of steam out there. Inside of 500, if you can see you can smoke it.
  12. I'm running a JP trigger in one POF, a ATC Gold in my DPMS and a Chip McCormick in the other POF. It is a tough call which one I like the best. They all work really good. I really like the short rest on the ATC, but my JP breaks really nice, and the CMC is really nice clean also. I don't know if that helps as I don't really have one that I can point to and say it is the best.
  13. Just out of curioisity, what do you not like about the JP? The rifle itself or the caliber, or ??? I have never owned any of their rifles but do own and use a good bit of their kit. I think that this may help others make deicsions when spending hard earned cash. Thanks!
  14. I have 3 of them and love the heck out of them. Two of them are on .308s the other is on a .223. They are a little heavy but they feel like a solid stock and collapse/adjust for transport or shooting with armor on. I would say I'm a fan of almost all of the MagPul stocks but it's really more like an addict. One note if you are putting them on a .308 you are most likely going to have to play with the buffer size and length to get the bolt to lock open on an empty magazine. Just my thoughts.
  15. I'm running Troy, PRI and MagPul on mine. I just built anotehr upper in .260 REM and have about decided to not put irons on it. I also from time to time will use an ARMS low profile rear sight that I have. I think I won it at a 3 gun match.
