Im good with the given area that the bolt would be closed at the barrel is 16 inch.

Does the muzzle device have to be perminatly attached?

OK fellas, I got the barrel in today and looks real nice, basicly new. Now it looked short, so I pulled my tape measure out and from the tip to the top of the extention it is 14 inches and from the tip to the bottom of the extention it is 16 ( ruffly). Now you guys tell me what it is or how to measure a barrel. If I have to get a tax stamp for it I may just sell it. I just dont know if I want a 14 inch 308.

I am leaning toward the Dynacomp, but I want to hear and see suggestions from everyone here and in your opinion why it would be better maybe then the others on a 16 inch carbine barrel.

Barrel, BCG, Gas tube, Tube pin, PRI Gas Block all inbound. Next is Dimond Head sights and Optics.

Two more questions. When ordering a new gas tube does it come with the roll pin to attach it to the gas block or does the gas block come with this? Also are an AR-15 and .308 gas tubes one in the same? Also what happened to the damn spell checker?

The guy has the BCG, but he wants a new price on it. The barrel he says has only had ruffly 50 rounds through it, so is a new bolt going to matter or should I really get the one he had in the extention?

Sweet I will be ordering the PRI and gas tube and pin tonight! Is there any difference in a BCG for 7.62 and 308?

OK so you guys know this barrel is a .750 at the gas block. Also do yall know what gas tube lenght it is. I am buying it from an indivisual but I can not seem to find much info on it on the net.

Ok I now have a new DPMS 16 inch 762 marked sport barrel on the way..... great deal on it I might add. What do you guys suggest for the gas block? It must be a low pro due to the 13.8 troy rail. Does anyone make a low pro ajustable?

OK, is there going to be a real shooting difference in the to rounds. I can get a new 7.62 DPMS barrel cheep, but can I still fire both charterges in it?

That is a nice rifle for sure. I am not sure if I like the fact that most the upper parts would have to be replaced by their company. Also I am not sure if I would like the way the barrle would have to be changed.

I like SS also, but for the barrel gas tube and block I have 125 in it new....black is ok with me. On target is on target brother.

Ouch that hurt, I used the CMMG and it is a nice barrel. Each their own, but why is CMMG your last choise?
