OK, I have to ponder on all this now. The next time I post in this thread will be wth pictures of what I get. Yall can keep posting and I will read but I have to take it in and do some research, I would love to walk into a gun shop and check out different loaders but that just is not going to happen around here. I may need to ride up to Chattanooga and see what is up there.

[lastly do you need to rush in? I treated it like a rifle build buying parts as I could afford them. When I started the total cost of ownership was mich higher then I had realized. I hadnt coonsidered I would need a heavier work bench and a lot of tools that werent apparant before I started. Lastly the componants themselves werent economical unless bought in bulk. Before I knew it I had 40000 primers, 1000's of bullets and bits of corn cob media everywhere.

OH come on , dont tell use you are hunting over food. I know people do it , but I dont like it. I go out scoutting and my walk is long and steep. I walk 2 hours up a mountian. I have had bear within feet of me and hugh hog I could throw a rock at. There are no game carts allowed and I couldnt get one up there anyways. I and my uncle go he is a master butcher so most everything we kill get clean at the creek. Now here at the house I have salt blocks plenty of leftover garden and I will set my feeders here in about a month. Will I shoot one here? Only if it is the big one I see 2 years ago!! Right beside my house is 186 acres of forest and clear cut, 100 yrds away in the river and across that river I would guess is close to 3500 acres with no poop 4 houses on it and a lot of cattle. Across the road is ruffly another few thousand acres with a handfull of homes as well. A few weeks ago I had a grey fox pup coming at night and staying under my back deck at 1130 I could walk out and just about pet him, nice sight. I like the hunt not the kill, the wma's sound like a war zone so needless to say they are not safe at all. If I go on a wma hunt I try to be the first one in and get a nap up in the stand. Here a few years back I went up on some NF and there was vans and cops everywhere. I was riding don the dirt road and they was spot lighting in everyones truck, so I want to know why. I stopped and asked the cop what was going on and he said they had 4 inmates escape from the state prison. Talk about scary, the whole time I was walking in I keet thinking someone was following me, gun or not in the dark 4 men would most likly take it from me if they got the jump on me. I turned around and went back to the truck thinking I would come back another day. Those law enforcment was creating to much caos running up and down the roads all day long. Anyhow I forget the point .

Do you mind explaning yourself? IS the LNL in the floor because you dont like it? What 3 loaders is it you have that you use? I will get what I want as far as the Dillon goes, but I alo understand everyones point about a single. I want the Lee because the reviews I have read online say it can handle the job, its cheap, and its the color of blood...lol. I cant not afford to make a mistake so I would rather take advice from experianced folks then the word of a review that has probably be writen by the company who made the product, but at the same time I just am not going to pay the price of a Dillon 550 to get a single stage, nope just can not see it. I started out under a 100 bucks and now I am close to 300 buck. I know I have to pay to play and that is fine I just need to keep it as low cost as I can, the best bang for the buck if you will.

weapnizer mounting to a steal plate is a good idea and I have plenty of that. I am now looking at the hordany lock n load classic kit. It is quet a bit more $$$, I was really hoping the Lee would of been a good one so I could spend the other 200 bucks on cases primers and powder dies ..etc..etc , but if I am going to buy one I dont want to buy a single stage twice and definatly dont want to buy a progressive more then one time. The Lyman is out of the question as well as the RCBS. I had my wife ready to order the Lee a few ours ago , but told her to wait. I am not sure how she will feel about another 200 for the kit. I guess it may be a slow start, but all will work out in the end. I am in no hugh hurry to load anything!! So whatdo yall think about the Hordany Lock n Load classic.

Great , that solves problem number one. Looks like Fulton will finish off my 308 here real soon. <thumbsup>

You guys are something else......what a great group of guys. I dont even have an upper much less mag followers...lol , but you can bet your sweet ass I will be your huckleberry by building a 22lr from this one part.
-
The Lee comes with a manual and that was a big plus for it when I looked over it. I know I need morethan one manual and thats no problem. If the Lee will be a good one to get then nothing says I have to use it the day I get it.

If you have no gas cap then that is most likly the problem, these newer cars/trucks have to pressureize to an extent. Go get a cap and have them run the codes just to verify <thumbsup>

HAHA, some wives are just crazier then others, but mine is good. As long as I/we can afford it she dont care what I bu or what I do( as long as it is with her )...lol anyhow I have been looking at this also http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=820810 You are right! I have never done any reloading. I have never seen a reloading press in front of me and I have never laid a hand on any indivisual componets, but I know I would be good at it as I am with everything I do. I can get a single stage press ordered today. What you guys say makes sence. I would be able to do a lot with a single, and get me a new Dillon is about 6 months or so. What do you experianced guys think of the Lee press and what comes with the kit?
-
I can understand using a single press for load development, but over all and buying only one in my lifetime I have been thinking progressive. To be exact I have been thinking the Dillon XL650 or maybe the RL 550B. I am looking at accuracy but also want volume when I get the right recipe. I did think about just getting the basic dillon machine but I was like that just looks like to much work although it would be fantastic for manually loading the brass,bullet,powder..etc. Im not the guy who has much time to do things that I would or do enjoy between 4 kids and a crazy wife. I the guy who can afford to take a day and load 500 to 1000 rounds and if I am lucky do it agine in another month........lol

If I was to order a Fulton barrel and crome BCG would they ensure that the head spaceing was correct?
-
Is there any disadvantages for someone just starting to reload to state with a progressive loader rather than a single stage loader?
-
I have been looking hard at the spikes dedicated 22lr for my 12 year old to shoot, and learn the AR platform. I have an extra lower and I would be letting him get his hands dirty with assemble, but imschur dont count yourself out on this if you want it, you did post.

HAHA <lmao> good one Matt, Admin rules. <laughs>Maybe they will up it to the first 5
-
Well dam how the hck did I miss those. Thanks for posting now I feel like a dumb ass........... <laughs> so is there going to be any benifits on the different gas block sizes? Also I hate there disclamer about there chambering may not head space to your bolt. Is it best to buy there bolt? Have you guys had any trouble firing any factory ammo at all?
-
Welcome aboard.
-
There should be no charge at all, no commentment to buy from them at all. Yes, there scanner is as accurate as they come.
-
I may call Fulton and ask, but they dont have one on the site.
-
Go by a local autozone or advance and get them t check it, but the light has to be on when you take it so do not try reseting the light by disconnecting the battery.
-
OK, guys I have looked everywhere I know to look and I can not find a 16 or 18 inch rifle lenght barrel for my 308. Where are they at? <dontknow>
-
I have to argue that one J. That is a bolt gun I don't care how anyone looks at it. Yeah seen the name of it "AR-30" , but that is in no way an AR platform. It is simply a Bolt Action Platform.
-
Welcome aboard! It is only fair for you to post pictures of your rifle also. <thumbsup>
-
You are most certainly welcome. Just go on and order one and send the second to my house. <thumbsup>
