  1. I got an email from Si today saying that my Gen III upper in OD was mailing out. Well long story short I ordered a upper back in March in the Fail Zero and recived it in no time. When I made this order online I did the NFZero and OD for color. Well my order was never marked shipped so they was fixin to send me another. When I got the email today I was confused and so I called them to find out what was going on. I could of got a new Si Gen III upper in OD for free if I didnt have such a big mouth. :'( :'( All in all I guess it is best to be honest about things. <thumbsup> But a free upper sure does sound nice.

  6. i would think it would be fairly easy to remove with a very small drill bit running it reverse. At worst the treads will have to be redone.
  7. Get you a slideing caliper and measure the tube diameter. That will tell you what you need to know, also some commercial tubes have a slant on the end to where mil-spc is always flat. Also a true mil-spec tube is is machined from a solid pease of stock and commercial is not made IMO very well.
  8. <munch> <lmao> <lmao> Thanks, it is a quickly growing calaber, so we will see how it fairs. <thumbsup>
  9. Very nice <thumbsup>
  10. Well I did not grow up around people to teach me really anything. We never had guns and my parents still does not have not one firearm. I love this stuff , it is in my blood and my heart and my children will grow up around firearms and shooting when I do. I want them to be smarter and better than me at everything ( will be hard to do ). I defiantly want them to know about firearms and loading there own ammo. It may be a few months down the road or even a few years but I will start to do my own loading and they will be taught.
  11. Yes Sir. LOL ......... I ordered off there site and checked the box for the fail zero and O.D Green. Next thing I knew I was getting a call about it, so I picked the fail zero and told them I need all the small parts. It showed up at my door a complete upper, and I was mad , but also happy as a fat kid in a candy store. I wanted to put it together this is my first build, but it just gave me a reason to do another.
  12. That CTR stock is growing on me.
  13. It is a DPMS lower and an SI Defense Gen II upper with a troy rail and Geissele DMR trigger ACS stock and I still have to do the MAID kit on it.
  14. Damn looks like Im out.......LOL J/K I think I can handle all that. The destaction part will be the hardest as my 4 yr old will want to be right under me!
  15. I do have the MAID grip kit in OD for it I have to install. If all goes well I will finish it here in a month or 2. Thats my goal on both builds anyways. Then I will start looking at reloading.
  16. Exactly...........Looks like I started my build just at the right time. Any sooner and I would of be like " where do I get ammo " and then when I couldnt find it I would of be like " what the F**K was I thinking building this damned thing ".
  17. Thanks , it is still in that form, and I may try to order the barrel this month along with some stuff for this new build I have started. Its MFG not MRF and it means manufacturing.
  18. Its called dipping. It is the same thing done to ATV plastics, and is done right here over in town. I have a friend who has started his own small business up doing this. He has done many baseball batting helmets and a few firearms. He is ( I think insured ) and he does do good work. If it is something anyone is interested in I can PM his number and you can call and chat with him. All I know about it is the parts are cleaned very well and placed in a water tank over a chosen graphic. Then a bit of voltage is turned on to electrify the water with a determined current. The graphics are pretty much permeate and very nice. They are also paper thin so all the parts should still have no fitment issues.
  19. When we get a 300AAC section here s something to sticky http://www.300aacblackout.com/resources/AAC-AR-Manual.pdf
  20. These ones are the one I am wanting. http://www.diamondhead-usa.com/products.html
  21. The barrel can be eather one of those. You need to get you a sliding caliper and a simple measurement will tell you what you ask. The are about 25 buck at any autozone.
  22. It is a Troy MFG. 13.8 inch
