  1. You are going to need two items in addition to the LR308 PRS stock. A DPMS 1" stock extender. A 1/4-28 button head stock screw, with a hole drilled down the axis (the one supplied with stock extender is the right length but has the wrong head).
  2. They do. The laws just don't apply to them equally.
  3. What is a safe distance? Some stats on LE involved shootings: https://leb.fbi.gov/2016/july/officer-survival-spotlight-what-is-a-safe-distance While the article doesn't cover it, we encourage students to practice point shooting at extremely close distance (arm's length), in conjunction with non-firearm related options.
  4. Racists! TPD and UPD rarely have good outcomes when they pair together for crowd control, be it the 4th Ave NCAA BB "riots" or the University Blvd incidents. They instigate each other into bad decisions.
  5. Except the booze addled brains of them making the laws is drastically slowing the reversal of prohibition in this case.
  6. Thought we had one of these? In actual uniform.
  7. Am I the only person irritated by the new and constant misuse of this word by the media and politicos? "This situation has some interesting optics," or "We need to get different optics on the situation"?
  8. /\/\/\/\ Someone already is doing that. Don't know who. Every politician. Every public official. And as soon as they come out to change things, out comes the news of their transgressions and out come the criminal charges.
  9. Long memories do serve us better.
  10. A profound and thought provoking discussion, especially in light of recent events: Discuss.
  11. They should. It saddens me that those in charge see our youth as an expendable resource, rather than our future.
  12. We'll be putting our donation up Friday. Things have been a bit tight. Everywhere with everyone, I know. I pray we see a big boost on the funds now!
  13. Sadly, that is how the majority of society sees anyone who has any sort of military service, as weapons experts trained in the sciences of stopping human heartbeats. Students completing our CCW course (ours, not what AZ "requires") shoot better, have more firearms knowledge, and better skills, that the average POST certified cop trained on one handgun type. "Trained", serious or not. But I understand what you are saying. I've seen it said multiple times in comments on articles by people trying to make a point about "assault weapons", that they could create more carnage with a revolver and a shotgun. And a person who had been properly trained could. Any one of the people who now do the realistic "competitions" would be a handful to overcome for any non-urban SWAT-light/lacking police force. Just as when N. Korea sends in those sapper crews to S. Korea to test defenses and raise havoc, the adversary would need to be overcome by dogged persistence.
  14. Yes, you will need special tools. No, all parts are not compatible. Check out the DPMS section and you can start to learn who makes what for that particular platform.
  15. Welcome from AZ!
  16. What he said! Welcome!
  17. Welcome from AZ!
  18. Gee, I wonder what possible motivation the media could have for laying the blame on the Curios & Relics list? <sarcasm off>
  19. We dropped an F-14A off the bow cats when I was in, the grab on the catapult came apart. We were totally off the hook, as it had been magnafluxed the week before and been greenlighted for use. $30Million (at the time) splash! Crew popped out fast after going full afterburner. This crew on this E-2D rocks!
  20. I concur. The city of Tucson has "rebuilt" the underground parking complex multiple times, most just rearranged with drywall. Some torn up concrete in that photo. They hooked dude up with a good sized charge delivered by the bomb robot!
  21. Five centrally ridged ejection seat cushions and grip-shaped arm rests but the pilot saves the bird (and crew!)!!
  22. Agreed. I believe that they finally realized "Whoops, we done pissed off too many folks with rhetoric and now they are ready to solve the problems permanently. Where will we get gravy train jobs then?" "They" in this case are the libtard politicos (dems and RINOs) and the media.
  23. This is just great: http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/latest-dallas-gunman-learned-tactics-texas-school-40468816 If they can't ban the guns, they'll ban the training.
  24. If you ask me it worked too well and they are back pedaling now. http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/dallas-police-ambush/obama-painful-week-shootings-america-not-divided-it-seems-n606476 Scumbag. <<<<<<<period Worked with plenty of people in corrections like that: stir the pot, get everything wriled up, then go back to their safe towers and talk about kumbiya.
