i had it on my ARs to sight them in. makes it nice with 3x to hit 100 yards with the eotech. put like 20-30 rds when it was mounted to the rifles. works nicely. nice thick mount and rugged magnifier.

not pictured is a set of 308 dies. going to order some 38/357 dies next pay. gonna get everything set up tonight and tomorrow. going to order a tumbler this friday and some media. at least i can pop out all the old primers this weekend. once i get the bullets and powder and primers in then its game on >:D

i used my standard ar15 barrel wrench and mine installed fine. i thought the apex one comes in 2 parts and they clamp over the existing barrel nut and then the hand guard holds everything together with 4 bolts

last part came today. its complete minus an optic. new dpms chrome bcg. mmmmmmm <munch>

i have been putting it off for awhile now but since my buddy got his reloading kit and since the price of ammo keeps rising i figured its a good time to jump in the pool. I have a ton of brass laying around in storage cans and needed match grade ammo for my 308 bolt so its time i think. i'm going to go with a single stage for right now and get that down pat then buy a turret press. keep the simngle stage for precision loads and use the turret for bulk loads. I order some dies off midway usa today for the 9mm luger and 223. my buddy is giving me the spare sets he doesn't use or has extras of. I am gettinfg off of him 45acp, 40 s/w and 308. all i need to buy are the 357 mag and 38 spl then my sets are complete for the calibers i own. i will post pics an updates as i get them. i am really pumped to get started reloading.

its actually a carbine gas system. i cut down the front post sight off the gas block. powdercoated it black and reused it as a "low profile gas block". i had the other front gas block extra in my parts bin so i wanted something different and i love the way it looks. its a 16" barrel

Updated again 6-7-12 I decided to pick up my receiver early and get a jump on the install process. got everything on minus the bolt catch. it takes a screw i forgot to order so its ordered, along with an extra firing pin and extended mag release. here are some pics of the 99% complete rifle. all i need now is an optic and i am set. i was thinking on running a 45* mount on my long range ar15 and use a burris reflex. just wasn't sure what mount you ran. they make a 1o'clock and a 45* one. i love that ubr stock but i can't see myself spending like 225 on a stock lol. i like the reflex mounted like that cause you just turn the rifle a little bit and you are on target. may even run that set up on my long range 308 that way heavier than the one i am building your build looks siiiiiiick btw
