I do have a 300 blackout sbr in the works, but i don't have a true 308 rifle :( That is about to change. The only thing that kept me from buying a scar 17S was lack of magazine availability. Without further ado http://www.handldefense.com/product/handl-defense-scar25/

My question, and it may be a stupid one, is in reference to Line 12 on the form 1. Line 12 refers me to instruction 2d. Instruction 2d "((1) attach to each copy in item 12 of the ATF Form 1, a 2 inch x 2 inch photograph of his/her frontal view taken 479.63 says one year prior to the date of the application)". I did not read anything about a passport photo, but many forums I have visited regarding this subject keep mentioning passport photos. I have never left the U.S. ; Apart from a deployment. Maybe that is why I am confused. http://308ar.com/forum/Smileys/default/dontknow.gif What is the difference between a passport photo and any other 2" x 2" photo of me? Can I print one out myself? If not, where do I get passport photos? Other than that, this is what I think I know about the process of making/registering a sbr. Feel free to correct/enlighten me if I left anything out. Fill out form 1(printed on both sides of one piece of paper). Fill out citizenship certification. Get fingerprinted with the blue cards. Have duplicates of all of the aforementioned documents. Get CLEO's signature. Send $200 check and completed forms to the BATFE Send receiver to engraver. Wait 6+ months for ATF to approve/disapprove my form 1.

I would have gladly served with her. Sounded like she took a bullet and saved the kids.

The news kept mentioning the ammo thing, so I counted mine today. I have about 5200 rounds. I also own more than four guns, and a 150 round drum. According to the news, I must be just as crazy,if not crazier, than the the shooter.

I.m surprised that noone with a CCWeapon was able to stop this guy.Brother Jgun said firearms are prohibited in theaters there? there are no such signs here in Indiana. I'm in southern Indiana. AMC owns the theaters around me. They have a 4" x 4" (estimate) no gun sticker on their entrance.

How about this! And the DAO New Agent for a backup. http://www.coltsmfg.com/Catalog/ColtPistols/ColtNewAgentSeries.aspx

I was also confused because these were in the ammunition tab on their website, but the picture looks like bullets only.

Apart from $10 a box. Anyone know if these are the same? http://www.southwestammunition.com/product_p/300blk110.htm http://shop.bullseyeindoorrange.com/Barnes-VOR-TX-300-AAC-Blackout-110gr-20rd-Box-300-BLK-110gr-Barnes.htm

I don't mind sending someone a copy of my DD214 and photo ID. Besides I despise valor thieves. For me, they're somewhere between a cockroach and that white stuff that accumulates at the corner of your mouth when you're really thirsty.

In Indiana you can use a pistol lower, or a stripped lower. If you use a stripped lower the dealer has to have pistol marked on the form 4473. No license is required in my state (as long you as you don't conceal carry it). A pistol can become a rifle/sbr in Indiana, but once it's converted to a rifle/sbr, it can not be converted back to a pistol.

First firearm that i built assembled from the ground up. Will turn it into a sbr someday, but can't decide if I want it registered to me, or form a trust to put it in. The trust is what I really want to do, but that option has a couple of cons. 1) It will cost more to get a attorney involved. I know it can be done without a lawyer, but i don't want to take that risk. 2) I can't find a lawyer in Indiana that deals with NFA Trusts.

Served in the ARMY from 2004-2007. I was fortunate enough to see the world Iraq, and a few countries in between to refuel the plane. Spent the better part of the last three years working toward a college degree and collecting firearms.

Right on. +1 but I also remember my local news interviewing a local NRA representative, and he was saying he really didn't see a need for civilians to have high cap mags. I know he was just a local NRA rep, but I thought I would take the safe rather than sorry approach.

messed up my strike though; I only meant to do it to the word "high"

I have five SR-25 Pmags. 4 have never been opened; don't have a dust cover for the one that is. I will try to find it, but won't promise anything. Asking $90 shipped (Where legal). Will take cashiers check, USPS money order, or cash. Ramble Warning: I bought these after that Loughner ahole shot those people, and they started talking about banning high normal capacity magazines. I was going to build a SR-25, but have jumped on the 300 blk bandwagon.
