  1. Here was (traded it to a buddy at Team 3) my Armalite AR10. I had bought the Eagle Arms lower first, then the 18" Krieger barrelled upper next. Unfortunately I didn't know the barrel was originally longer, and the guy never adjusted the gas port accordingly. I had David Sams (former gunsmith for the Army Marksmanship Unit) tune it for me and it worked beautifully for me after. The Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50 was originally for a .300WinMag, but I had no place else to put her. Surefire muzzle brake, KAC BUIS, Matt Burkett offset Docter mount, AR Gold trigger, PRI 15" fore end, Harris bipod, UBR stock, and I forget the mfg for the grip. I hope to replace her soon.
  2. What kind of accuracy results are you getting?
  3. Not to mention, whether legally carrying or not, you IMMEDIATELY draw the attention of LEOs. Not saying all are paranoid and automatically look at you as a suspect, but I'd rather be as non-descript as possible.
  4. I'll see if I can find the email, but I had this conversation on another forum about open carry vs concealed. Mas Ayoob (gun writer/instructor/expert witness) had related numerous instances where people who were openly carrying were targets of gun grabs. Do you think a drunk person is fully aware of the rammifications of a failed gun grab, and would actually think twice about it? I'm just saying I'd rather be the one nobody expected to start returning fire.
  5. That is an awesome range. Where is that? On a side note, do you have the bipod mounted to the picatinny rail on the gas block?
  6. I can see the benefits of open carry but honestly prefer carrying concealed. I don't want people seeing that I'm carrying as that might potentially make me a target for a gun grab, or worse yet, if someone/ group was dead set on robbing the place I was at.
  7. Oh, the wife is DVR'ing Combat Pawn so I can see them and laugh at the BS when I get back. I'm convinced you cannot have an accurate portrayal of the gun community in ANY dramatic setting. The only caveat being informational gun shows like Vickers and the like.
  8. I agree. Though I feel I'm more proficient with a pistol, you'd be a fool not to recognize the power and accuracy of a long gun. A shotgun's nice (as long as you remember and are able to constantly feed it), but I'm too used to a carbine. Maybe a PDW to carry as a compromise? I've gotten to shoot the hell out of MP7's out here and though the round is anemic, I still wouldn't want to be shot by one.
  9. I feel bad in not elaborating that I am now a reservist, and over here on contract. Just FYI. I really like the looks of the KMT receivers. I might be able to get the lower, but am in search for two matching uppers. Thanks guys.
  10. Looking for a set of the Kaiser KR7 upper and lower receivers. Thanks.
  11. Hello. Just wanted to drop a line right off the bat. I'm new here but not to .308 AR's. I've dealt with them professionally being an ordnance tech for an east coast SEAL Team and owned an Armalite .308 before trading it to a Team 3 buddy. I'm looking to get back into and am looking for a Kaiser upper and lower set. Unfortunately I hear they're out of business. I'm in Afghanistan so I had my wife call their business only to get a hispanic family's response. Hopefully I can find a set (and spare upper) and share and receive some good info. Just so nobody misreads the above I'm a support guy, NOT a SEAL. However, being a gun guy allows me to shoot with them quite a bit, so there's a lot of good info they put out. Thanks.
