  1. Must be his CQB gun.
  2. HK91's/G3's are also notorious for doing this. To prevent this with the 91/G3 you can use this: http://www.robertrtg.com/hkshelldeflector.html I don't know if that will work with a little bit of modification, but if not, maybe somebody can fab one up similar.
  3. Agreed. Hell, a hot pot of coffee probably wouldn't feel that great. Easy to say without being there, but you have to get into the mindest that unfortunately this poop can happen. My wife and I have established plans in case things go awry at the mall or wherever.
  4. Got it. Thanks bro.
  5. Also, remember the terrorist event that took place a couple years ago in Mumbai/Bombay? A journalist was behind a vehicle and saw one of the terrorists with his back turned and an easy target to anyone with a gun. Anyone like the Indian cop that was also there, but refues to do anything but hide. I believe the journalist then asked for his gun which the Indian cop refused to do as not to give away their position. Don't even get me started on the "Elite" Indian CAT Team that bungled the assault.
  6. Yeah a lot is mindset. I can't blame her but look at how that woman (with the group in the break room) was breaking down and damn near uselss. Automatic "victim" mentaility. I do NOT want my wife to be that way and want her to fight back with everything available. Sadly I feel this new "reality show" generation of Americans is getting that way.
  7. Will do. Much appreciated brother. The problem we are running into now is that the barrel is a heavy contour (over an 1" thick in diameter) under the handguard, and I got a medium Sage chassis. The AMU gunsmith said he'd remove and swap the barrel with a medium contour 18" barrel and check headspacing, but NOBODY has the tools and gauges here. Except maybe up in Bagram. Looks like we'll have to shell out if we want to get it done. Thanks again bro.
  8. EXCELLENT! I wonder if I email TNVC, they'll drop the shiiping to an APO as APO's only use USPS anyway? I'm looking forward to hearing about this trigger, though it'd have to be a performer to sway me from my AR Gold.
  9. Nice. The Mod 0. For some stupid reason though, even on the bottom setting I could never mash my cheek down low enough to get on the irons. I was glad they went to the M4 style (CTR actually) stock on the Mod 1's. I'm helping a buddy put one together here as well. I'll post pics when complete.
  10. I'm just bustin' your balls bro. For NSW, it's in the following order: MK11/SR25 = KAC .308 AR (M110 for the other services) MK12 = 5.56 AR MK13 = .300 Win Mag 700 Remington MK14 = Sage EBR Mod1 (M14) MK15 = McBro's Tac50 .50 cal bolt action MK20 = SCAR SSR (Utter garbage)
  11. I was going to buy 4 Pin-up girl stickers from Tactical Night Vision Company. $10 for four. S&H $11. FOR 4 STICKERS!!!! No thanks.
  12. Thank you sir. I was totally unaware of that. I guess I should have clicked on the Compatability link.
  13. M110 is an Army (AF, and MC) designator for it. The Teams call it either the MK11, (MK12 being the 5.56 version) or the SR25. Same rifle, but because I'm biased towards NSW, it's the MK11.
  14. I did a search and couldn't find anything. On Iron Ridge Arms site, and Proof Research's site I see the Noveske Switchblock on their .308 AR's. However, on Noveske's site, they only have the Switchblocks for 5.56, and 6.8SPC. I've read they'd have them out by summer 11' but they've gone through a website revamp already with no changes to Switchblock availability. Check out the awesome rail customizing midway through the thread for the Switchblock. http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=71&t=71837 Does anybody have one on their .308? If so, where'd you get it and have you ran it suppressed as well? I'm think of doing a 12.5" upper as well and think the Switchblock would be desirable once a can goes on. That's another thing. Anybody know of who makes a quality 12.5" for the DPMS/SR series? Noveske likes to utilize Armalites, and I believe his Crusader barrel uses a custom gas tube length for it.
  15. Am I the only one seeing three frogs? Domain unregistered?
  16. They can't! 1:00 into it, look at the markings outside the entrance. Damn shame too. I love how everybody bunches up in a group near the transformer. Really? I'd be standing by my vehicle, gun ready. Sure I may not be able to go in armed, but I'd sure's poop grab my gun when presented with the opportunity. I do liked that they pointed out that even if a building is marked with the specific ordinance preventing lawful gun owners from carrying there, a person intent on doing evil doesn't give a poop.
  17. Thanks for the replies guys. The read-ups I've done on JD Machine have all been good. I just love the way the Kaiser receivers look.
  18. Great point. I definitely don't know all the laws in my state (TX) of issued CHL. I don't think all cops do either so I'd rather avoid the confrontation.
  19. This one isn't "mine" but it's me shooting at an 18" LaRue hanger at 600m with one of my buddy's guns.
  20. Thanks guys. It kills me sometimes being away from my toys, and the ability to build my poop up. God willing, we won't have to worry about our 2nd Amendment rights for awhile after this Nov.
  21. Thanks. That is definitely option 2. The AXTS .308 lower looks nice as well, but they're really busy trying to keep up demand for the 556 lower. The MaTen wouldn't be too bad to "settle" for.
  22. Yep. You beat me to it. Let the free float rail take that upward pressure exerted by the weight of the rifle onto the bipod.
  23. DAAAMMMMITTTT!!!! I'm hoping he frequents here still and sees this.
  24. That was a great idea. Also, did you mill the sides of that lower (around selector and mag release) or do they come that way?
  25. Is he a member on this board? Does he frequent it at all? I'd really like to get a couple of his KR7 uppers and a lower. I've got awhile to wait while I'm over here, but hoping to have the parts by the time I come home on leave. Anyone? Anyone know the answer? Bueller?
