I joined there first until someone there told me about here when I asked about some 308 stuff. I check in over there but it is large, busy and not very user friendly. It seems to be driven by and to some extent ruled by those companys sponsoring the site. I like how you can see new posts since your last visit here and see any replies to things you have posted here when you log in. Just me. :cookoo:

I want one. I want one. I want one. I want one. I want one. Interesting design. Maybe you could make it look like a tree branch or stick to hide it? :cookoo:

I put a 2 stage CMMG LPK in my lower, which was a CMMG. I hadnt read anything that specifically said not to use a CMMG 308 LPK. In fact, I believe I had read the reverse somewhere about not using DPMS. I say this because I had the DPMS 308 LPK sitting in my closet until yesterday when I sold it on "BEEP" for almost twice what I paid for it. In my short time on this and other forums, I have come to the conclusion that most major parts companies like DPMS or CMMG put out a good product, it just boils down to personal preference and preception on quality and performance. Also, if there was a problem, most of these companies have fixed what is wrong by the time you hear about it. Just my 2 cents. I am probably wrong, atleast my ex wife would say so. :cookoo: (yes, I like this emoticon)

What do you have on order or in the mail?

<thumbsup> Just got my UPS tracking number for my barrel, BCG, gas block, tube, and comp for my 6.8 from BIson Armory. I know this is for 308 but just a little excited. MY BCM upper is jumping for joy at being finished soon. Just last week I got my 308 upper from Fulton Armory. Had to wait since the first part of November but it is a beauty and fits my CMMG lower perfectly. Hope I get to shoot it before someone says I cant have it anymore... -
It's getting hard to not take advantage of this sellers market.

Top: all CMMG lower (2 stage FCG) Magpul grip / all Fulton Armory 308 Titan upper with a DPMS A2 and GRSC single sling adapter Middle: all DPMS lower / DPMS upper with Fulton Armory Y/M enhanced BCG and model 1 Charge handle with Badger tactical, Nordic Components .223 Wylde 18" Barrel, Yankee Hill extended length forearm, Nordic Component comp. Bottom: New Frontier composite lower with CMMG LPK, DPMS stock with a Cold Hand Arms upper (Delton upper, Mossberg barrel) TruGlo three color dot sight and cheapo 3x magnifier. This one is "ready to go" condition. Working on a 6.8SPC II upper if Bison Armory ever ships my order. Have a BCM upper receiver ready for the parts, just deciding on forearm. Plan on shooting some pigs...

Single Point Sling adapter for 308 with A2 stock
308truthseeker replied to 308truthseeker's topic in .308AR Parts
Got it all done. I will have to check on the drain hole thru the screw on the sling adapter, yep, mine has one. BY the way, here are some pics of my CMMG / FA 308 Titan build. All done. The FA 308 upper is pretty much a work of art. Awesome. Oh, and pardon the foot in the photos. ;D -
I have a CMMG MK3 lower with CMMG 2 stage LPK and a DPMS A2 stock, and a GRSC single point sling plate. This is to be my main rifle and want to preferably use a 16" or will also use a 18" barrel, either with a JP compensator and a MechArmor Tactical Charging Handle. I want to avoid a CMMG upper and I am leaning towards saving up and investing in a Fulton Armory Upper specifically, the FAR-308 Liberator LTE. Does anyone have this upper and have experience with it? I dont see alot about Fulton on here as far as people opinions on their uppers with other lowers. Incidently, I had a customer service experience with CMMG during this part of the project. When I was reviewing the parts that came in the LPK, I noticed that the stock pistol grip lacked any hole for the safety selector spring. Since the video on their website that show the install steps was for the AR-15, I thought I might be misunderstanding something. I am only on my second build with the first being a AR-15 lower. I emailed CMMG, I explained my question, including my possible lack of experience. I got a response that asked if I could send a pic of the grip showing the area of my concern, which I did. The next response included an attachment of an invoice reflecting a free replacement part being priority mailed to me stating that the part wasnt correctly made. This was monday, I had the part by Thursday. They didnt bother me with asking for the part back, or to return the entire kit or some other bull crap. I was more than satisfied.

Single Point Sling adapter for 308 with A2 stock
308truthseeker replied to 308truthseeker's topic in .308AR Parts
I am ordering this tomorrow morning. Exactly what I was looking for and the cheapest I can find. http://www.grscinc.com/adapters.html The expensive shipping charges on alot of the websites is what kills me. $1.50 S&H makes sense, nothing like good old slow USPS at a low price. I still think the $32 is expensive but it is the cheapest I can find. Some of these gun parts are truely to high. Thanks for the input from everyone. This item and the MIAD Magpul pistol grip I have coming will finish up my CMMG 308 lower. Now to save for my Fulton Armory 308 upper... -
I am building a 308AR and have choosen an A2 stock. However, I would like to use a single point sling or have the option to do so. I have seen relatively inexpensive receiver plates that have slots or loops for a single point sling. I have one on my franken M4. The only one I have found for an A2 buttstock is available from DPMS directly or the same thing from other retailers online. http://www.brownells.com/shooting-accessories/slings-sling-swivels/tactical-sling-mounts/ar-15-m16-a2-single-point-sling-adapter-prod31829.aspx I am guessing that the spacer described is in addition to the one between the end of the buffer tube and A2 stock where the longer screw goes. I find that $40 is a little rich for me for the ability to use a single point sling on my 308 and its A2 buttstock. Anyone know of a similar item that might be cheaper?
