  1. Also, is there anybody from this area that happens to know of a 1000yd+ range anywhere near?
  2. Are there going to be any more? These are all dated Nov 2011...
  3. Ok, they aren't all that far (<2hrs) from where I call home, so I am going to stop by and see if I can get some information from them on maybe making my rifle a bit more accurate; maybe the possibility of putting a Syrac adjustable gas block on it. Would be nice to switch from regular to suppressed gas systems the Novenke switch back says it can do, but with the added twist of personal adjustments. As for clarification they did say "3 out of 4" on their website, I tried to shorten it.

    Rumors

No it just sounds like a money scam though. There is really no valid reason to take them off the shelves though if that is what you are looking for.
  5. Never thought of that, and different is kind what I want to go for.
  6. I really do like the stock, but my one thing is that when i get down on the rifle my cheek weld is at the very end of the cheek rest. I have learned to cope with it because it really isn't that bad.
  7. Has anyone here dealt with them? They have some pretty serious claims that 3/4 of all tactical competition shooters use their rifles and that 3/4 of all the medaling places are taken used with their rifles. http://www.gaprecision.net/ Just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with them.
  8. Here you go: RRA LAR-8 20" Standard Operator Smith Vortex Flash Hider DPMS Ergo Tactical grip Magpul PRS buttstock w/ extension spacer Charging Handle Latch Extension (brand escapes me at the moment) UTG Bipod UTG High Scope Rings Nightforce NXS 12-42X56mm w/ MLR Reticule optics
  9. So my first LAR-8 was the 20" Classic A2 which I loved. Felt perfect with the DPMS Ergo Tactical grip and the Magpul PRS buttstock with an Extension tube on it. Shot straight and true from the box, the first shot out of it was actually a kill shot on a Monster can. Alas, I am just starting the married life and my wife is slightly anti-gun so I am only allowed one rifle and one shotgun at the moment. I plan on building my armory up further when we get a little bit more stable living style established. Now I run with my LAR-8 20" Standard Operator, but I did get to keep the furniture from the first rifle with it. I am sorry about the picture, I need to take it outside and get some nice pictures of it, but you get to see my nasty apartment, so my apologies. So the stats on the new hotness are as follows: RRA LAR-8 20" Standard Operator Smith Vortex Flash Hider DPMS Ergo Tactical grip Magpul PRS buttstock w/ extension spacer Charging Handle Latch Extension (brand escapes me at the moment) UTG Bipod UTG High Scope Rings Nightforce NXS 12-42X56mm w/ MLR Reticule optics What I would like to add: Heavy Buffer Tube and Spring (any ideas on brand and where to find it?) Smith Wind Talker Suppressor system Fluted Match Grade Barrel (going to talk to GA Precision LLC about this, anybody dealt with them before?) and a sling, but I can't figure out how to attach my web sling to the PRS buttstock in a way that really works, anybody have any ideas?
  10. Hollywood, glad you like it, I did that as well, infact this thread helped lead me to it. My only one complaint is that my cheek now rests at the very front of the cheekpiece; are you having any troubles with that?
  11. Justinlee, where do you hail from in southeast Kansas?
  12. Hello everybody! I grew up a military brat but I call Kansas home. I am currently enlisted in the USMC and stationed at Camp Lejeune. I love to shoot my rifle, but I really want it to reach out and touch something. The biggest range I can find is 500 yds, and as nice as that is, I know I can reach out farther. It is also difficult to get to a place where I can accurately zero my rifle I feel. I would like to zero it at 200m because I plan on using it to hunt as well as target shooting. I really joined to show off the build, see other's builds and get some more ideas to make mine more accurate and a better rifle in general. I am really ready for deer season to start up here in NC and get my fill of vension.
  13. Was just looking around about .308 ARs and hit up the website and the forum multiple times. Decided to join because I was itching to show off my build as well as reply to some of the threads I was starting to see.
