  1. Was just reading Jonas thread down there about troy sights. Ive been homing in on the Troy HK micro set, I plan on using them for now on top of my troy battlerail and then down the road when I get some glass hang them off the side on a 45* adapter. It seems like alot of people go this route and it makes sense. This will probally be the only 308 I'm gonna build so I kinda dont mind spending a lil more now and take my time with it. That being said I want to be able to keep them somewhat out out the way and tucked in on that 45, Is this realistic and what 45 mounts would you recomend. Ive got a DPMS upper with f/a and a 13.8 battlerail. EDIT : just realized I can mount a piece of rail angled on the extreme battlerail, BUT would that line up with a 45 mount for the rear sight?
  2. +1 to that Ive read alot of his books and cant recomend them enough
  3. <lmao>
  4. Welcome Greenmist ! Your gonna have fun here.
  5. I think you are doing just fine. Put a CT laser grip on the wifes P239 and found it was a real tool for me to "see" what she was doing when pulling the trigger. I was able to zero in on what areas she needed to work alot easier. And what better excuse to get a laser right? lol
  6. Wow that was pretty cool on JP's part. They seem to make very nice stuff, and then to give it to you is even better.

  9. Dam you guys. Those pics make me want to spruce up the bone stock colt in the safe. Wife claims its "hers" That pistol must be a blast to shoot.
  10. Im still new at this but isnt a Noveske barrel made around the Armalite style and not DPMS?
  11. If you try to hold the catch so its not touching the pin and hit the recv on a hard non marring surface you might get it out. Good luck.
  12. The wife works here http://www.donnellysclothing.com/ and they do uniforms for most of the catholic schools in new england. They have the ability to do custom embroidery and heat seal printing in most anything you can think of. We have had stuff done for friends and family in the past and there is no "minumum" on anything but there is a charge to get the file for the logo in the system. If we could get that file I could have her get it in the system and we could go from there.
  13. Thanks, You guys have it rough out there, our parent company is in Bryan,OH and they have closed more than once due to that cold.
  14. you know, I was thinking the same thing this morning. any 308ar stuff available?
  15. Welcom from Little Rhody. I think you will do very well as long as you make a solid product and you can keep up with demand. What kind of machines are you guys running? Another made in the USA product! Thank you
  16. There is no substitute for range time. You won't get truly comfortable with your weapon until you fire at least 500 rounds. Relax and enjoy it you will settle in pretty quick.
  17. thats nice! Hell yeah put a can on it!

  20. Yeah I guess its not made anymore <dontknow> found this but not sure if they exist anymore either. http://www.allisontool.com/pathfinder.html
  21. Well kinda, More like a tape measure. Saw this and thought it was a pretty slick idea http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2011/06/retracting-ballistics-data-tape-holder-from-leupold/
  22. that pin in the TM lower should be a fairly loose fit and it IS removeable as long as its not bottomed out and forced into the hole. Ive had mine in and out several times. A tap on the recv will drop it right out. However If that pin gets sheared or distorted while in the hole THAT would be a problem though.
  23. Yeah I was doing that with my 229 and kentucky windage at 100yds and thought it was funny, BANG....................clang. But 300yds? dam, must have taken 6 seconds to get there. Cali Ed, as far as grip I've found that what you do with your thumbs effects the frame of the pistol quite a bit. I usually point them straight towards my target parallel with each other and not pushing on the frame at all. Also put a consistant almost death grip on your right hand.
  24. Should be able to upload it to a pic hosting site such as photobucket and then post the link to the pic here? What exactly is going on?
