  1. Tom, check this out. GREEN COVE Dragway LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... LET'S HAVE A DRUM ROLL PLEASE... WE HAVE A NEW TRACK RECORD FOR MOTORCYLES...BROKEN LAST NIGHT @ GCD... CONGRATULATIONS TO JON JON RICHARDSON .... NEW MOTORCYCLE TRACK RECORD FOR ET: 5.248 NEW MOTORCYCLE TRACK RECORD - MPH : 138.9 And.. get this .. ON A STREET MOTORCYCLE... A M A Z I N G !! Great Job by Jon Jon!!!
  2. From yesterday afternoon, getting ready to go to the track.
  3. From last night, Junior was on the 14. "By the way the bike broke the track record in ET and MPH both tonight and never really gave it All it had. On the down side its needs to come back out an be checked. LOL." The videos show the bike spinning the tire through 3rd gear in two runs. Not sure what they hurt, but I know he is using some valve float to get more air in the lungs. I am thinking he is throwing the valve to hard off the nose and may have bent a valve. Right now I think we have the right head and cam combo in the 109, any more lift and I think the ramp rate is going to be way to aggressive. The air box is defiantly in the way, what we know now is +8 HP without it on the Dyno. I have the pistons, need to check the clearances and check the valve reliefs. These pistons should be at 11.00 to 1 and the stockers are 10.5 to 1 so that will help too. The heads are flowing +20 HP from where we are right now, so I think we need to taper bore the TB for sure, scrap the Air Box, lighten up the bottom end and balance all of the new stuff. Also think I need to send out the Rods to get some Billet ones made and ARP Studs. What is new on the electronics I was never able to get a good working solution for altering the engine timing, think there will be some in that for sure. My hope is to have my hip replaced and some light surgery on my back and the bike back together for Bike Week 2015. Gonna need your help to pull it off for sure. We need to talk about the rods and how many I should order, I have six pistons. So I am thinking about just getting six rods to start. That entire forum is still just trying to figure out how to put the right air kit on the bike, LOL.
  4. @98Z5V Just got this from John. He has put a +10 swing arm in the 14. Expecting high 4,s tomorrow with 14 an high 7,s in the 1/4 AFTER we ride it to the track. No poop.... Johns 10 was at 8:00000000 but never hit 7. But we realized 15k was to many rpm,s for springs to work very long so in next few weeks it i hope will be as fast as 14. 14 is making the ponys and TQ if we can put it down. Motor 278 Hp and 269 TQ on stingy dyno SAE 5. Bike has 150 shot with progressive controller and traction control hid in ecu. Hoping for big numbers. fornicate low 8,s. We gonna try an have real streetbikes u can ride anywhere an go 7,s an i wont stop till it happens
  5. Let me know I will come down.
  6. Hello, buddy. When it is not Africa hot we are putting the Beast back together. You and the wife need to come by the house so we can get a plan on paper so I can get the parts back. 175HP and 150TQ here we come!!! Taz
  7. You are shooting in AZ and no phone, Dude, WTF!!!! It is getting cooler in the am need some therapy. Call me, JackASS!
  8. 98 is right, I just spent much of yesterday afternoon doing the math and comparing the numbers between Warne and Burris, Warne steel QD were on back order from my guy. .525 I think is not enough clearance for 30 mm tube and 50mm obj. Picked up some Warne Maxima QD in Extra High .625 locally to see what that looks like, if it is too much or too high will return and order the .525 Steel and wait. You have to review how each manufacture measures and do the math. Typical bolt gun has a taper in the barrel and the receiver is higher by a certain degree. I think my idea of being able to swap a $1,000.00 scope between the scout and the sr762 is going to be a PIA. Good Luck with your plan I will update on how mine works out. Taz
  9. Shot it today, it is great, just needs some small things. Did not get my scope mounted to it yet. Zero iron sights today put 60 rounds through it. Have a list of goodies to pick-up to get it tuned up and ready to rock. Shot my SP101 today that I did a trigger job on and am pretty stoked about that it is a bad little wheel gun. The 10-22 is very close to being spot on, have some bench work to do with it and a little clean up on the barrel bed. 98Z dropped some trigger parts it in today and we mounted my scope. Had a great day hanging out with 98Z and Dawn.
  10. I really wondering if the ATF is approving requests for manufacturing permits on Ammo or not. It would be very revealing to know if we have manufacturers our there trying to get into the business and they are being stonewalled on the permits or not. It would seem to be a great time to be a manufacture of ammo today. The AK related purchases are very interesting, are these for supplying a foreign force like the UN? Pretty scary stuff. The post office has had it's own LE division for a very long time, not sure they every experience the need to do a tactical insertion into any facility though.
  11. This is why you want to be friends with this guy. Thanks Bud.
  12. It would not be the first time, I have stolen the pipe from his bike before.
  13. Here is a preview on it from GunsAmerica. As I was looking around I also found some guys on youtube. Right now the consensus says I will be spending some money on a trigger . I think 98 has 4 or 5 of these so maybe I can snatch one when he is not looking for the day to see the difference on paper. Guns America Review
  14. So my SR762 came in on Monday and I am going nuts to get it out and shoot it. I will get with Tom and we will put together a review of the gun, and some pics and video. Thanks, Taz
  15. Thanks for warm welcome folks.
  16. We need to get together next weekend if you can, buddy of mine is coming back down in two weeks. We can hit up CG on Sunday.
  17. I have been trying to hunt one of these down for a while and found it yesterday at the Gun Show. Nobody ever seems to have them in stock. I have found a few sites to dig into but not sure I 'need' according to wife, a 1,500.00 10/22 but I have done crazier things. What some youtube stuff today on a guy shooting one 400 yards on a 12 x 12 target, the TOF was insane. Bag wait wait wait tink. I think I have a TASCO Tactical laying around in a box that is 6-16 x 50, if I remember correctly. Need to dig that up and see what it is. Had it on a 22-250 at one point for plinking wood chucks.
  18. New Toy to play with till my SR762 comes in. Does anyone have tips on mods and tricks to get the most out of it? Thanks, Taz
  19. Hi All, My name is Ron and I am an addict oops, sorry wrong group. A friend of mine (98Z5V), even if he does not acknowledge the fact, invited me over. Looking forward to learning, contributing, and meeting new friends. I reside in Gilbert, AZ currently, grew up in the Detroit area, and working on migrating to the Coastal Bend of Texas, Rockport to be exact. Interests are Fly Fishing, Guns, Fast Cars, Fast Bikes, Guns, Knives, Pizza, and Hot Chicks, and not necessarily in that order. Adult beverages are not an interest as in many situations they are a requirement. My friends have called me TAZ over the years because of some behavioral traits, that I attempt to curb, but really have never been very successful at overcoming. So you will learn to know me as RAWTAZ as this pretty much sums up what I am all about. For the most part my bark is worse then my bite. But when the TAZ comes out it can be real interesting and sometimes very bad. A few other tidbits of information, I am Libertarian Fiscal Conservative politically, Christian religiously, and could survive an apocalyptic event with no food for about a year (I need to loose a few pounds). I have been married to a wonderful person who has found some way to tolerate my antics and less than desirable traits for 24 years. We have no children. We have an Akita that thinks she owns the place and my purpose in life is to serve her. Anyway, I hope to fit in and enjoy the forum. TAZ
  20. Tom, Thanks for the invite, had a blast. Looking forward to more days just like it.
