I support the military and most certainly the troops. What I don't support is a military industry complex that starts war on behalf of the rich while destroying our young. Everybody understands that war is necessary at times. My point would be to not send the troops overseas needlessly in the first place, so some dictator or even foreign company can have drilling , mining rights or just economic reasons. Our boys come home sometimes destroyed physically and or mentally, and can't be fixed most of the time, I'M NOT SAYING DON'T TRY! The veterans home is a couple blocks away from me and after seeing the men that are dead inside and have been for years, are these wars worth it? Please study the reasons for some of our past wars, I mean the real reasons. It seems that NOT putting them in the situation in the first place should be a priority. Before flaming me, talk to people who take care of veterans.

With no adult supervision, what are you to do, hand them a gun and tell them to figure it out! That would be about as irresponsible Anderson Copper teaching journalism, In my opinion.

I for some reason remember the stocks being wood, but not sure, maybe the stocks were a plastic. Were all AR10s at gun shows Dutch imports? Did Armalite sell to the public, always thought so.
-
Years ago I almost purchased a Dutch AR10 for about $700. I'm curious about what it is worth, if Armalite made the rifle, if not was it any different than a Armalite?
-
It was a .357 and it cycled much faster than I'd ever guess. The person got it fixed.
-
I'm probably wrong as normal but, doesn't Armalite make a AR10 A model that takes the same mags as DPMS. The Armalite AR10 B models took the M1A style mags. I'm not real impressed with DPMS rifles. Just my 2 cents.
-
I'm not sure if anybody else makes them but here goes. A free float tube for a armalite ar 10. Any thing to lighten a AR10.

The cycle rate on a Desert eagle can be high. I've seen where they can even triple on a person, without the person knowing. I generally try to be open minded (within reason) but, a water cooled desert eagle, I'm not biting.

There is a web site you should visit, it's called rex reviews or tiborasaurus rex. The site talks about rifles, techniques, and optics. It's like crack to a long range rifle junkie. It is great watching, being a you tube channel.

I've worked on a lot of things in my life and have found, never say never. Also, I'm anything but a gunsmith of any kind. It was never the point that the magazine directly effected accuracy. It was more about the follower or mag lips not correctly holding the cartridge and the cartridge getting damaged on the way in the chamber. I've personally seen a Armalite that will ding some casings and scratch nearly every bullet it cycles. I don't mean faint scratches either. It is possible that dinged cases may have slightly different pressures or seating issues. The scratching may with the spin cause a slight inconsistent yaw . We're not talking missing a deer at ten feet, but may be enough to keep you from a sub 1 MOA groups at range, vs say 3/4 MOA. Go ahead and flame away!
-
I'm just saying what if. What if the magazine was scratching the bullets as they left, or held the round at a slightly odd angle causing the rounds to randomly hit the barrel extension weird. Hey it's possible, I'm just saying, never say never.

The title pretty much says it. What brands of upper and lower receiver interchange with each other?

How does Armalite compare to other companies that build .308 AR style rifles? I don't see many post on the good and bad of different rifles and companies. For somebody looking at .308 AR's it's confusing. What is the pro's and cons of the Armalite AR10 series.
-
Does Magpul or anybody else make mags for the Armalite ar10B? Kind of looking for something a little lighter and maybe cheaper than Armalite.
-
Are there any issues with a springfield m1a built around 1980 (43000 serial number)? Is there anything to look out for? What would be a good price for say a 90% condition rifle?
-
I've been looking at the windham weaponry scr308. I don't own one in 308, but can tell you they build great products with great customer service first hand. Very pleased with their products. The only thing stopping me so far is I want a 20" barrel and they only offer 16".
-
Yea, I'm still looking at .308 ar's. I look around a lot first before buying, and that incudes the good and the bad. Can't remember the site, but there was 50+ pages of Sr762 problems. The problems included bad magazines, improper receiver/ feed ramp blend, sharp edges on the feed ramp locking lug area, and bad galling in the upper receiver from some carrier tilt. Also, although not serious the triggers are heavy and gritty. Has anybody had any experience with the ruger sr762 ? I've always been a big fan of ruger products. Any other input, good or bad would be appreciated. Any accuracy results would be nice as well. Thank you; Pokey

thanks. That helps a lot.

Looking for any imput on the dpms g2 series. Would like to know the good, the bad, and the accuracy. Any opinions on build quality and compatibility with other rifles. Thank you. Pokey

looking at a rock river 308 predator hp. Is there any issues with a Rock river rifle or the HP predator? How about parts interchange with other brands or even ar15s?

I'd like to start by saying it is not my intention to upset or offend anybody. With that said, why are colt values so high compared to other makers. I know of a Eagle arms and a colt purchased about the same time frame (1989/1991) new. The eagle arms is worth around $400-$500 and the colt according to blue book is worth up to $1750. Both are H-bars and are the same rifle for intensive purposes. Hands down the eagle arms is better in every way except value. Even the colt owner fully agrees. Here are some advantages of the eagle arms Better machining (a lot better) More accurate More reliable Less picky on ammo M16 bolt carrier (instead of half the back being removed and unshrouded fire pin) .154 fire group pins pull pins for upper and lower appears to be fully chrome lined barrel and carrier Bayonet lug (not real important I know) Ability to freely change uppers and or lowers Now advantages of the colt A2 rear sight (eagle arms has a A1) A2 flash hider vs A1 Is there really that much in a name or am I missing something. Not saying nobody should own a Colt or they are horrible, but come on. This is not a gripe or rant and please let me know what I'm missing.

Does anybody have any experience with a windham weaponry .308 rifle? I have found only one minimal review. How would it compare to a Armalite in 16". How much difference in effective range between a 16" and 20" barrel and is the 20" worth it?
