I installed the trigger in my AR Pistol and was finally able to take it out on Friday. Worked perfectly...very nice. I also got a call from Van and waited until I went to range to give him a call back. Spoke with him yesterday and let him know all is well with the trigger. Top notch customer service on his part!

I noticed the same thing when installing mine. When on safe, there is also no movement at all of the trigger like others have mentioned. Hopefully I can get out to the range with it this week to test it out.

Just got my trigger in the mail and installed it in my AR pistol. Wow! Can't beat this thing for the price!

Just to confirm what Robo said, I sent them an email yesterday afternoon just inquiring on any update they may have on the triggers, and I got an email back within two minutes saying that they were packaging them up and getting them ready for shipment today. :banana:

Mega also makes a 16" barrel which is what I used on my build, but it has a mid length gas port system. For what it's worth, CMMG offers a 16" barrel with the rifle length gas port system.

Well I wouldn't we say shot the hell out of it but we did manage to get a few rounds through it. As far as the range report, I'm lazy. I have to snap a couple pics of it and I will definitely post it up. Big thanks for all of your help along the way sir! <thumbsup>

Well, I went ahead and ordered the 16" Mega barrel and DPMS BCG from an online retailer who said they will check the headspace for me through an email conversation. Hopefully I'll have it at my door some time next week.

I'm assuming any low profile or micro gas block would work okay with this rail, correct? Also, I have the newer low profile DPMS upper so do I just use your standard mid length gas tube for my mid length barrel? I have seen that some are bent and some are straight.

Thanks for the help thus far. Of the three barrels I've found I'm leaning towards the Mega Arms 16" (mid gas system) offering and just grabbing a DPMS BCG seperately. From what I've read, the rifle gas system with a 16" may pose problems with certain ammo so I may stay away from the CMMG because of that and I just don't know enough about the Brownell's barrel to sink my money into one. Anything esle out there? D.R.D - I looked into Black Hole Weaponry but they are saying 10-12 weeks before a barrel can be shipped out. I'm just not that patient. Haha!

I found out today that I do have access to a set of Go, No Go, and Field headspace gauges so I can check it when I put it together. I'm just curious as to what my chances are if say, I get a DPMS complete bolt carrier assembly and a different company's barrel. I would hate to spend the money to find out that I need another bolt.

Hello All, Doing my first 308 build, and so far I've got my 80% lower milled and completely built, DPMS low profile upper receiver, and MI 15" SS Keymod handguard. Now onto the barrel and BCG. I want to go with a 16" barrel with either a mid length or rifle gas system. Looking to spend around $300 on just the barrel give or take, and so far I've only been able to find in stock offerings by Mega Arms, CMMG, and Brownells. I've seen the Rainier, but it's out of stock. My other concern is the whole headspace issue. CMMG is the only one of the three that will check the bolt headspace if bought directly from them, so they say. Any quality issues with any of the manufacturers? Any others I should be looking at? Should I just take a chance and buy a DPMS bolt and carrier and barrel seperate? Thanks for the help!

Nice looking rifle! I'm currently building something similar myself. Just ordered the 15" MI keymod rail system and I'm on the hunt for a 16" barrel as mentioned in your other thread.

Hmmmm, interesting. Also, what are you using for a bolt with it? I'm wondering about the whole headspacing issue if I order one and if you had any other issues to note with that barrel as well.

You happen to get any rounds through it yet? I'm looking for a 16" barrel for my first build and was curious about these. Thanks for the help!
