If I would have known that he is in Oshkosh I would have drove up and picked mine up instead of having him ship it to me when I bought mine. just a big THANK YOU for their speedy service

are lower parts kits for AR's also fit LR lowers? I ordered a lower parts kit from Cabela's and specified it was for a LR 308 and the part number is the same for an AR lower. did I screw up and should I send it back or will it work?

Has anyone heard of these , pros and cons of these lowers, found them while I was browsing gun broker.

I want to give DWilson mfg a big thank you for being so fast and a very nice place to do business. I ordered a BCG blem from them on Wednesday and received it in the mail today. I know my eyes are old but I cannot find where the blem is on this bcg. I would like to wish all who work there a very Merry Christmas and may Santa be extra special to you this year. Thank you again Gary

Lower is a DPMS, going to put a LUTH-AR adj. stock, Criterion barrel 6.5 22in, Diamond head VRS T handguard and want an adj. gas block does anyone have any experience good or bad with ODIN adj. gas block???? Hogue pistol grip, and last if all works out Huber trigger that he is working on right now.
-
and I just ordered one, my first build and so it begins, now have to wait visit the bank, then Jan 21st for the gun show , and see what I can find at a good deal.

My son asked me what I wanted for Christmas, so I told him a LR 308 lower, I believe it is a DPMS pattern, who makes uppers that fit this in stock? and bolt carrier group ? and another question WHY do some BCG have serations for a bolt assist and others don't? what good is a bolt assist if the carrier has no serations. thank you

congrats on 69 yrs old BUT ElPaso Tx. is hot most of the time, try 30 below with 40mph wind chill that give you 65-80 below and you have to go out and shovel to get to the store, and you will appreciate 65 yrs old, LOL

Decision is made, I am going with a 308 for starters, then after that will get a 6.5 upper set up so I have the best of both worlds. and I am 97% sure it is going to be a Live Free Armory rifle, lite hunter in 20in. should be able to get it around the first of the year, with the savings account says ok, and then a Luepold fire dot, wind plex scope. want to shoot some long range matchs in the spring to tune myself up to get back into deer hunting next year. 65yrs young. LOL

down to the final decision of which 308 would you get? LF 308 lite hunter or a DPMS 308 lite hunter, both 20 in. barrel, both within ounces of each other, both close in $. this is for hunting, target , and overall just plain fun shooting, eventually I might change the barrel for a 6.5 Creedmore (maybe) I am not trying to start any war, so please lets keep the answers honest, friendly, and in the spirit of this forum. thank you

forgive someone out of touch but what? who? is KAK and what is their web site,? also I just stumbled onto Live Free Armory, how do these compare to DPMS light hunter? weight wise, accuracy, quality???? I am still looking for my first LR10 and just need opinions, good or bad so I don't throw money after bad money. thanks

So how many of you are Veterans? for all of you Thank You for your service from another Vet (69-71). also how many of you use Vortex scopes? the reason for the two questions I found out that if you register with Vortex, and send them a copy of your DD214 (email is best) you will receive a discount direct when you purchase direct from them and I believe it is 40%. so I am off to cabelas to find the reticle and power I want and then going to get it direct. if you all knew of this before just sit back and have your coffee while you read this. LOL

guess I will have to do some reading up on the 260 also, see how available the ammo is compared to the 6.5 cm, the ballistics? and bullets for hunting and long range targets. might just get the DPMS light weight hunter with the carbon hand guard and then maybe later on a carbon wrapped barrel in either 6.5 or 260 to satisfy my long range pursuit . ARTrooper and Shepp I am from east central Wisconsin foot of the lake, where we hold the Walleye tournament, (hint). just thought I would let you know and also Go Packers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I only mentioned that I was a lefty because I don't like to work the bolt on a right handed rifle, I never minded the brass going by my face from a right handed AR. learned to tolerate that back in "69" , just looking for an LR in a 6.5 cm for banging steel and deer hunting. still don't mind the 308 and then build an upper in 6.5cm. just trying to get input without starting a caliber war. thank you to all that posted. I appreciate your input

I am going with a semi , I am left handed and don't like to operate the bolt on a right hand rifle, stubborn maybe but why do leftys have to settle for something instead of getting what they want.!! semi auto 6.5 creedmore, light weight, there has to be a mfg that makes them.

I am not trying to start a war of words, but am looking into my first LR , it is going to be used for whitetail deer hunting shots will be from 0 to 300+ yds. and also would like to get into some long range shooting, I need to fill my time as a retired senior citizen. LOL really would like a lighter weight to carry in the field and also use in a blind. I am partial to the DPMS light weight hunter but they don't offer it in 6.5 creedmore. so should I get the dpms and change barrels or is there another alternative that I have not found?
-
now all it needs is a Huber Trigger, single stage or dbl stage.

I see Remington is coming out with a R25 gen II , YES I know that Remington owns DPMS, but it looks like they are using the same bolt group , can one assume that the barrel quality is the same for both? can we also assume that the accuracy should be the same? it looks like the only difference is the stock and fore grip. the reason for this post is that I am looking to purchase my Gen II the first of the year and just want to make sure of the quality and accuracy of both so I can put Remington on heads , and DPMS on tails when I flip my coin.
